After nearly two years of dating, this talented and beautiful couple is finally ready to start their life together.
Entering the new year 2026, the Vietnamese sports community received an emotional piece of good news as Lê Đức Phát - one of Vietnam’s top male badminton players officially proposed to his girlfriend Đỗ Thị Ánh Nguyệt - currently the nation’s number one female archer.
On his personal page, Đức Phát shared a series of photos capturing sweet moments in a cozy, private setting, along with a brief caption: "Mission accomplished for the year-end.", accompanied by a heart and ring emoji. The post quickly attracted great attention from fans, colleagues, and friends in the sports community, with thousands of congratulatory messages sent to the couple.
The proposal setting was tastefully decorated with roses, candles, and balloons, creating a romantic and intimate atmosphere, marking a perfect ending to a beautiful love story in Vietnamese sports. Their joyful smiles closed the previous year with a memorable milestone and opened a new journey as they step into 2026 together.
Lê Đức Phát and Đỗ Thị Ánh Nguyệt are considered one of the most beloved couples in Vietnamese sports in recent years. Their relationship blossomed after participating together in the Paris 2024 Olympics, before they publicly announced their relationship not long after. Since then, the couple has often been seen supporting each other in national team activities as well as in daily life.
Born in 2001, Ánh Nguyệt is a prominent member of the Vietnamese archery team, having competed in the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympics. She won the gold medal in the women's single bow team event at SEA Games 30 and at one point ranked 17th in the world.
Meanwhile, Đức Phát is three years older than Ánh Nguyệt and is currently one of Vietnam’s top male badminton players alongside Nguyễn Hải Đăng. The star, affiliated with the Army team, was the flag bearer for the Vietnamese delegation at the Paris 2024 Olympics opening ceremony and has won several titles at the International Challenge/Series level.
