The Hall of Fame induction list is about to be announced, with Beltrán and Jones leading in votes and likely to be included.

The Baseball Writers' Association of America (BBWAA) is set to announce the newest MLB Hall of Fame class tomorrow. Online vote tracking shows that ex-star outfielder Carlos Beltrán and ten-time Gold Glove recipient Andruw Jones hold a significant lead in votes, positioning them well for induction into Cooperstown.

The Hall of Fame requires a minimum vote threshold of 75%. Among the 223 ballots publicly counted so far, Beltrán has received 89.2% support, while Jones stands at 83%, both comfortably exceeding the induction criteria.

This marks Beltrán’s fourth year on the ballot, with his vote share rising steadily from 46.5% in 2023; last year he missed induction by only 19 votes. Over his 20-year major league career, Beltrán was a nine-time All-Star, hit 435 home runs, and tallied 1,587 RBIs. He earned the AL Rookie of the Year award and three Gold Gloves, though his career was clouded by controversy due to involvement in the 2017 Houston Astros sign-stealing scandal.

Jones is in his ninth year on the Hall of Fame ballot. When first nominated in 2018, he received just 7.3% of the vote, but his support has grown each year since. Jones holds the record for ten consecutive Gold Glove awards and finished his career with 434 home runs and 1,289 RBIs. If inducted this year, his career batting average of .254 would be the second-lowest among Hall of Fame position players, just above Ray Schalk’s .253.
