Munetaka Murakami begins PRP treatment and will not travel with the team for away games.

Chicago White Sox's Japanese star Munetaka Murakami has been placed on the injured list with a right hamstring strain. Reports indicate he will remain in Chicago for treatment and will not accompany the team on their upcoming road trip.

In the earlier game against the Detroit Tigers, Murakami hit a ground ball to second base and sprinted to first, clearly feeling pain in his leg. He was subsequently placed on the 10-day injured list with a Grade 2 right hamstring strain and is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks.

Foreign media report that Murakami will stay in Chicago for PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection therapy and will not travel to Minnesota for the away games. Regarding his injury, Murakami stated in an interview: "It's really unfortunate, but since it's already happened, there's nothing I can do. I'll cheer for the team, maintain a positive attitude, and strive to grow from this experience."

Murakami signed a two-year contract with the White Sox this year. Despite being underestimated, he hit 20 home runs in 57 games, with a batting average of 0.240 and an adjusted OPS (OPS+) of 160. He is currently tied with Yordan Alvarez of the Houston Astros for the American League home run lead.
