Shohei Ohtani is listed among Forbes' 50 Game Changers, alongside Jensen Huang and J.K. Rowling.

Forbes published its updated list of the World's 50 Game Changers on June 3, bringing together 50 elite figures who are transforming their respective industries in finance, business, tech, media, and entertainment. Los Angeles Dodgers' Japanese baseball star Shohei Ohtani is the sole athlete to make the cut.

The magazine noted that Ohtani, 31, continues to make baseball history in numerous ways. Last year, he became only the second player ever to win the Most Valuable Player award four times in his career and led the Dodgers to their first back-to-back championship of the 21st century. Off the field, Ohtani is projected to earn $127 million this year, setting a new record for a baseball player.

Other inductees with ties to Major League Baseball include New York Mets owner and hedge fund expert Steve Cohen. Also connected to baseball is SoftBank Group Chairman Masayoshi Son. Figures involved in sports include UFC President Dana White and Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer.

Other well-known honorees include U.S. President Donald Trump, Nvidia founder Jensen Huang, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, investment expert Warren Buffett, Apple CEO Tim Cook, Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, musician Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, Bad Bunny (Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio), Taylor Swift, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, South Park co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, renowned author J.K. Rowling, and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
