Mets shortstop Lindor stars in Spielberg's new film, with a trailer scene eerily reminiscent of a classic sci-fi movie.

"If you discovered we weren't alone, would you be afraid?"

This question is from the newest promo for legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg's forthcoming science fiction movie "Revelation Day." The trailer features Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor as its lead.

In this 30-second clip shot at Citi Field, Lindor is preparing to field during a game when a red cardinal lands on his left arm. But this bird—and everything that follows—doesn't seem to come from St. Louis. A bright light from a mysterious aircraft then appears in the sky, Lindor falls into a trance-like state, and his eyes suddenly change color.

This scene recalls another famous sci-fi film that featured a cameo by a Mets player. In the 1997 movie "Men in Black," which Spielberg produced, outfielder Bernard Gilkey stood stunned at Shea Stadium as an alien spacecraft flew overhead, completely missing a fly ball that eventually hit him on the head.

What does it all mean? That question will only be answered when "Revelation Day" hits theaters in North America on June 12.
