Won a signed Shohei Ohtani bat and immediately listed it for sale at $25,000

The price of signed memorabilia from Los Angeles Dodgers two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani has been rising as he continues to set new records on the field. Recently, a lucky collector, while unboxing an official mystery box, was thrilled to find a signed Ohtani bat. Instead of auctioning it off, he directly listed it on eBay for $25,000, waiting for a buyer to take it.

The collector, named Aaron, purchased the "Under Wraps" mystery box series, which is released annually by MLB's official licensee Fanatics. These products contain randomly selected, officially authenticated memorabilia, and buyers cannot know what's inside before opening. Aaron recently bought one such box online. When he opened it, he was completely stunned to find a game-used Ohtani bat with his autograph.

Aaron believes this bat is especially valuable because Ohtani rarely signs bats. For this reason, he decided to sell it on eBay with a direct price of $25,000.

Aaron also shared his analysis of the current market for various authenticated Ohtani signed memorabilia based on his experience: signed baseballs are around $4,000 to $5,000, signed jerseys about $10,000 to $15,000, and signed bats between $20,000 and $25,000. He revealed that he has already turned down an offer of $17,000 and confidently stated, "The value of this bat is likely to double within a few years."
