The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) recently confirmed that three professional players, including China, Thailand and Romania, have been banned for violating the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP).
Three professional players, including China, Thailand and Romania, were banned for manipulating the results of the match
Wang Chukang, a 25-year-old Chinese men's player with a career-best singles ranking of 786 in February 2020, denied charges related to instigating others to manipulate matches in May 2022, and in January 2025, independent anti-corruption hearing officer Jack Forest KC held a remote hearing and found that Wang Chukang had instigated another player to play match-fixing, so he was suspended for eight months and fined $1,500 for March 26, 2025, ending on November 25, 2025.
In addition, Romanian female player Alessandra Yordakai confessed to manipulating the results of a match in exchange for remuneration in 2023 and teaching another player to release water and destroy evidence, and was banned for two years and fined $15,000. Thailand's Anapat Tsiminkul pleaded guilty to manipulating five match results between September 2023 and February 2024 and has been banned for three years and nine months, plus a $30,000 fine.
