Yankees captain Judge returned to tie for top spot with a 12th home run

Aaron Judge hit his 12th home run of the season in Tuesday's 12-3 win over the Padres to tie the top spot in the major league home runs. The captain hit a shot from former teammate Michael King in the fourth inning, which Statcast measured at 341 feet and had a muzzle velocity of 102.0 mph.

The home run saw Judge tie the season for the Major League home run leader (12) with Cal Raleigh of the Mariners and Kyle Schwarber of the Phillies of the Phillies team. Important: Be aware of Judge's April 20 victory in Tampa. When M. Steinbrenner Field played against the Rays, a home run was cancelled after a video review.

Regardless, Judge is continuing the hottest start of his career and is on track to make a triple crown.

Judge led the major leagues with 0.412 batting before Tuesday's game and led the American League with 34 RBIs (after Tuesday's home run). While Monday's series opener ended his 14-game hit streak, Tuesday's home run extended his back-to-back to 32, tying his career record for the third-longest run.
