Super 100 events are part of the World Tour system. In addition to the original World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500 and Super 300, the Super 100 will be fully integrated into the World Tour business system for the first time, covering international media rights and sponsorship cooperation frameworks.
In terms of the number of events, the World Tour Finals, four Super 1000, six Super 750 and nine Super 500 events remain the same as for the 2023-2026 cycle, but the Super 300 and Super 100 will be reduced from 11 and 10 to eight respectively, with both levels of event being upgraded from 31 to 36 events.
The Super 1000 tournament has a singles group stage format. The main change for the 2027-2030 World Tour is that the singles events of the four Super 1000 events will adopt a new format with group stage competitions, with 48 quota places for both men's and women's singles. The doubles event will continue to use the knockout format of 32 signings. The entire tournament will be extended to 11 days (ending on Sunday) and will feature two venues, with all 219 matches in the tournament being broadcast and produced. At the same time, prize money levels have been raised – with larger increases at higher levels and smaller increases at lower levels. The BWF expects to complete the allocation of hosting rights for each level of the tournament from 2027 to 2030 by November 2025.
The reform aims to strengthen the brand's influence.
