The left-handed duo made history by reaching the mixed doubles final of the 2025 Singapore Badminton Super 750 Tournament

Thailand's Dechapo is expected to win his third Singapore Open mixed doubles title with a change of partners. On May 31, local time, the world's No. 8 "Desu Combination" De Chapo and Subi Sara defeated Chinese Taipei's world No. 21 Ye Hongwei and Zhan Youzhen in two games 21-12 in the mixed doubles semifinals of this year's Singapore Badminton Super 750 Tournament, winning both sides in two meetings.

Dechapo switched partners to win the championship for the third time

De Chapo, who had previously won the tournament with his former partner Saheeli in 2019 and 2022, is now reaching the final of the Singapore Open again this year with Subisara, who is aiming for his third title, while Subisara is winning for the first time.

In the final on the 1st, Dechapo and Subisara's opponents were Hong Kong's world No. 3 "Double Left-Hander" Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet, who defeated China's world No. 6 Guo Xinwa and Chen Fanghui 22-20, 19-21, 21-16 in today's semi-finals.

Since the Singapore Open was introduced in 1931 (and since 1929), no Hong Kong pair has won the mixed doubles title at the event, and it remains to be seen whether Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet can make history. Since the start of this tournament, only one Hong Kong representative has won the championship, and that is Zhou Mi, who won the women's singles championship in 2009.
