New York Yankees "Monster" Stanton (Giancarlo Stanton) has not played in the major leagues this season due to an elbow injury, but there is good news today, Yankees head coach Boone said in an interview that Stanton is expected to play in the minor leagues next week.
"He's still in Tampa [the Yankees spring training base] for now, doing more striking, full training and running, and so on, and will probably stay until this weekend." According to CBS Sports, Stanton has been in rehab for the past few weeks and has already begun to practice his strikes, while Boone also mentioned that he is expected to travel to the minor leagues next week to play rehabilitation
The 35-year-old stanton is an important heavy gunner for the Yankees, with a batting average of 0.233, 27 home runs, 72 RBIs and an OPS of 0.773 in 114 games in 2024.
