Yankees captain Judge continues to output to match the legend, teammates exclaim "crazy outstanding"

Aaron Judge is doing the unbelievable right now – and his teammates know it.

After hitting the roof of the Royal Hall of Fame building with a 469-foot home run yesterday, Judge hit another 413-foot right midfield home run at Kaufman Stadium today to help the Yankees beat the Royals 6-3. He finished his 25th run of the season with a 25th run close to Cal Raleigh, who is No. 1 in the major leagues. The hit was a two-hit shot (the fifth of the season) with a muzzle velocity of 108.8 mph and 4.8 seconds in the air.

Judge's current stats are the highest in MLB: batting percentage of 0.394, base percentage of 0.490, batting percentage of 0.779, 98 batters, and attack index of 1.269. Three straight starts and 54 consecutive home base games — tied for the fourth-longest time in Yankees history, behind only Babe Ruth (62), Derek Kitt (60/54) and Lou Grieg (60).

"It's been out of the ordinary," said starter Clarke Schmidt, who went six innings without conceding a point, "and every time he stood on the base, he was a big chance hit if he didn't hit a home run, and his consistency was insanely good." It was Judge's 16th three-game run in a 10-year career, the closest to the five-hit streak from September 21-26, 2022.

Judge (also on a transfer) became only the third player since 1901 to make a 51-game multiple run in his first 66 games, beating Ruth (52 in 1924/1927; 51 in 1923) and Grieg (51 in 1936).

After witnessing a home run yesterday, head coach Aaron Boone joked, "It's time to move him to the next league." However, even if this league exists, it may not be able to stop Judge from the current trend.
