Boom! Aaron Judge returns from injury with his first home run, leading the Yankees to a 9-1 victory over the Twins and securing their first back-to-back wins in August.

On the 13th, the Yankees continued their home series against the Twins. Captain Aaron Judge hit his first home run since returning from injury in the bottom of the first inning, helping the team tie the game. The Yankees recorded three home runs in this game, ultimately defeating the Twins 9-1, marking their first two consecutive wins in August.

Judge's 38th home run of the season came in his first at-bat of the bottom of the first inning, helping starting pitcher Carlos Rodon tie the game. This solo home run was Judge's first since returning from injury; his last home run was hit on July 24.

In the bottom of the second inning, the Yankees struck again! Anthony Volpe blasted a three-run home run, extending the lead to 4-1. In the bottom of the fifth, "The Machine" Giancarlo Stanton joined the fireworks show, hitting a home run for the second consecutive game, increasing the score to 5-1.

Yankees starting pitcher Rodon threw seven innings in this game, recording five strikeouts and two walks. The only hit he allowed came in the first inning to the first batter, where he conceded the game's sole run. The Yankees ultimately defeated the Twins 9-1, with Rodon earning his 12th win of the season, tying with teammate Max Fried for second place in the American League for wins.
