Wow,Guo Haowen declined the NBA contract offered by the Pistons this summer.

Guo Haowen, born January 31, 2000, stands 2.01 meters tall as a forward-guard swingman. Last season with Tongxi, he averaged 33.7 minutes per game in the regular season, scoring 16.1 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and dishing out 3.2 assists, with shooting percentages of 38.9%, 29.7%, and 79.7%. In the playoffs, he averaged 31.5 minutes, posting 8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists, shooting 22.7%, 25%, and 100% respectively.
According to Tongxi’s domestic player registration for the 25-26 season, Guo Haowen remains with the team under a Category C contract. The new season is a contract year for him, and he has already returned to practice with the team preparing for the season.
As a rare tall guard/ball-handling forward among domestic players, Guo Haowen is currently the top local offensive threat. Last regular season, he averaged 7.1 free throw attempts, making 5.7, but his ceiling has been limited by his inability to develop a consistent shooting touch.
In 2022, Guo Haowen went undrafted in the NBA and that same year played for the Mavericks in the Summer League, averaging 9.2 minutes with 5 points and 1 assist per game.
