In the third quarter, with the Magic leading 77-64, Yang Hansen re-entered the game. However, his performance was rather subdued, as he committed a screening foul which resulted in his third personal foul of the game, leading to him being substituted out. During this quarter, the Trail Blazers mounted a comeback, narrowing the score gap. At the end of the quarter, the Magic still led 89-80.

In the final quarter, Yang Hansen did not get any more playing time. The game remained tight until the last moments, with the Magic holding a slim 107-106 lead. After Bane made both free throws, the Magic extended their lead to 109-106. Then Black made one of two free throws, helping the Magic secure the victory. The Magic maintained their lead and closed out the game successfully.
