On December 28th Beijing time, according to insider Scotto, the Clippers will sign TyTy Washington to a two-way contract, and to free up a roster spot, they waived Reggie Dennis. Washington plays for the San Diego Clippers in the G League, averaging 17.9 points per game with a 46.5% field goal percentage and 41.1% from three-point range, while also contributing 5.9 assists, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game.

The 24-year-old Washington was the 29th overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft, but as a rookie, he had limited playing time in 31 games with the Rockets. During the 2023 offseason, he was traded twice—first from Houston to Atlanta, then to Oklahoma City—before being waived by the Thunder. Afterwards, he spent his second season on a two-way contract with the Milwaukee Bucks and his third season on a two-way deal with the Phoenix Suns.

Since entering the league, Washington has appeared in 58 regular-season games, averaging 3.3 points, 1.2 assists, and 1.1 rebounds in 10.5 minutes per game, shooting 34.7% from the field, 23.4% from three, and 54.2% from the free-throw line. His G League performance has been much stronger; last season, he played 32 games for the Valley Suns, averaging 21.7 points and 7.4 assists per game with a 41.4% three-point shooting rate. He also once recorded 53 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists in a single G League game.

The Clippers had previously signed Washington to an Exhibit 10 contract in July, but he was later waived. Now the team has decided to bring him back again.
So far this season, the Clippers have a 9-21 record, ranking third from the bottom in the Western Conference, but their recent form has improved with a three-game winning streak.
