On January 16th Beijing time, the Trail Blazers confirmed Yang Hansen’s recall from the G League, meaning he has a chance to take part in today’s game versus the Hawks. Should he play, it will be his third consecutive day of competition.

On January 14th, the Trail Blazers were defeated 97-119 by the Warriors away, with Yang on court for 12 minutes and 33 seconds, shooting 1 of 3, tallying 3 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist. On January 15th, the G League team dominated the Oklahoma City Blue 123-99 at home. Yang started and played 31 minutes, shooting 6 of 12 from the field, including 0 of 2 from three-point range, and made 5 of 6 free throws, scoring a team-high 22 points, along with 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 2 blocks, with a plus-minus of +21. The 22 points also set a new career high for Yang in the G League. On January 16th, the Trail Blazers face the Hawks at home, giving Yang the opportunity to play three days in a row, back-to-back-to-back.

However, his playing time with the Trail Blazers won’t be extensive, so his body should not feel overly fatigued. Additionally, having two consecutive home games means he avoids travel fatigue.
After yesterday’s game against the G League team, Yang Hansen also took part in the traditional post-game group photo. He stood at the edge, smiling broadly with his arm around a teammate beside him.

So far this season, Yang has appeared in 23 games for the Trail Blazers, averaging 2.5 points and 1.8 rebounds per game, with a field goal percentage of 29.2% and a three-point shooting rate of 16.1%. In the G League, he has played 6 games, averaging 17.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.
For Yang, the goal is obviously not just to establish himself in the G League, but to use the experience there to improve his skills further, ultimately securing a stable role with the Trail Blazers, earning consistent rotation minutes, and gaining more playing opportunities. Let’s wish young Yang continued progress and development.
