It's over, completely over.
Insider king Shams:The Heat have waived guard Terry Rozier, who is embroiled in a gambling scandal.

This guy was born on March 17, 1994, a 1.85m tall & 2.04m wingspan point guard, the 16th pick in the first round of the 2015 draft, having played for the Heat for only one and a half seasons at most, with a salary of $26.7 million this season.

Rozier is a very talented player, so his total NBA career salary earnings reached $161 million. During the 23-24 season with the Hornets, he averaged 23.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. He also had two other seasons averaging over 20 points per game. Unfortunately, he couldn't avoid self-destruction, and his promising future has been ruined.

Getting back to the point, the Heat waived Rozier not only to distance themselves from him but also to free up a roster spot to sign a player before the playoffs.
Team reporter Reynolds reported: The Heat will convert the contract of two-way player Jamir M. Young. Insider king Shams later added that the Heat offered Jamir M. Young a two-year contract.

Jamir M. Young was born on October 7, 2000, a 1.83m tall guard. So far this season, he has played 13 games for the Heat, averaging 4.2 minutes per game with 1.7 points, 0.3 rebounds, and 0.6 assists.

The Heat's current regular season record is 42 wins and 39 losses, ranking 10th in the East. In the upcoming play-in tournament, they first face the Hornets; if they lose, they go home directly. If they win, they must play another play-in game against the loser between the 7th and 8th seeds in the East to officially compete for the 8th seed playoff spot.

It's worth noting that the Heat will compete in the play-in tournament for the 4th consecutive year, but they have managed to advance to the playoffs from the play-in every previous year, and perhaps this year will be the same.

It must be said, the Heat are indeed a very resilient team, yet they linger on the edge of the playoffs year after year, who can tolerate that? If they can acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo this summer offseason, the situation will be vastly different.
