On April 14 Beijing time, Lakers forward LeBron James was named the Western Conference NBA Player of the Week for Week 25. This marks his 70th career honor, setting a new NBA record, and his 9th since joining the Lakers. The Eastern Conference weekly award went to Raptors star Brandon Ingram.

In three games against the Warriors, Suns, and Jazz, the 41-year-old James averaged 27.0 minutes, scoring 24.0 points with a 56.3% field goal percentage and 50.0% from three-point range, along with 6.0 rebounds, 9.7 assists, and 3.0 steals.

On April 10, in a 119-103 road win over the Warriors, James scored 26 points (11-of-17 shooting, 3-of-5 from three), with 8 rebounds, 11 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.

On April 11 at home against the Suns, he posted 28 points (10-of-16 shooting, 2-of-2 from three, 6-of-9 free throws), 6 rebounds, 12 assists, and 4 steals, becoming the fourth player in NBA history to surpass 12,000 career regular-season assists.

On April 13 in a 131-107 home victory over the Jazz, James contributed 18 points (6-of-15 shooting, 6-of-7 free throws), 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals.

This season, in his record-setting 23rd NBA season, James has climbed to the top of the historical scoring and games played lists, further cementing his legendary status.

Additionally, the NBA announced that James topped the 2025-26 season NBA social media and digital platform player popularity viewership chart with 2.85 billion views. Spurs star Victor Wembanyama ranked second with 2.43 billion views, James' teammate Luka Dončić placed third with 2.11 billion, and Austin Reaves came tenth with 696 million. Three Lakers stars made the top ten.
