Hey, he's back~
A well-known domestic basketball platform reports:Former head coach of the Chinese men's basketball team, Li Nan, is about to return from suspension......

During the 2023 playoffs Shanghai vs Jiangsu series, the Chinese Basketball Association determined that both teams exhibited "passive competition" in Games 2 and 3, issuing unprecedented heavy penalties. Consequently, then Shanghai head coach Li Chunjiang was banned from coach registration for five years, and then Jiangsu head coach Li Nan was banned from coach registration for three years.

Three years—three years have passed in a blink.

In 2024, Beijing hired Li Nan as a team technical consultant. He originally could only work behind the scenes; after the suspension is lifted, he can appear publicly to better assist Xu Limin, and even someday take up the coaching reins again, given his rich experience and being only 51 years old.

Beijing currently holds a record of 26 wins and 13 losses, ranking fifth in the league, behind Shanghai (35-4), defending champion Guangsha (30-9), Shenzhen (28-11), and Guangdong (27-12). This year's goal is undoubtedly to go all the way.
