Trail Blazers Announce Summer League Roster! Yang Hansen Wears No. 16, Expected to Play Only One or Two Games

On July 2, Beijing time, the Trail Blazers officially announced the 12-man Summer League lineup, featuring Yang Hansen in the No. 16 jersey. Blazers reporter Highkin stated: "The Trail Blazers have made public the Summer League participant list, which includes Yang Hansen and the two players currently on two-way contracts, Jason Kant and Chris Youngblood. Gil Abraham, one of the team's player development coaches, will act as the head coach for the Summer League."

As early as last week, Highkin reported that Yang Hansen is expected to play in the Summer League. He will first represent the Chinese men's national team in the upcoming FIBA World Cup qualifiers before heading to Las Vegas to join the Blazers. Highkin indicated that Yang Hansen is likely to appear in only the first one or two games of the Summer League.

The Chinese men's team will face Japan on July 3 and Chinese Taipei on July 6. According to the recently released Las Vegas Summer League schedule, the Trail Blazers will have their first Summer League game on July 11 against the Suns, followed by games against the Magic on July 13, the Timberwolves on July 14, and the Nuggets on July 17. Yang Hansen may play in the contests against the Suns and the Magic.

In last year's Summer League, Yang Hansen played four games, averaging 10.8 points, 5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.3 blocks per game, with shooting percentages of 45.7% from the field, 33.3% from three-point range, and 87.5% from the free-throw line.

The Trail Blazers re-signed Robert Williams III and also added a 2.13-meter center, Carlson. The team now has four centers on the roster. Yang Hansen needs to improve his skills quickly in order to earn playing time in the highly competitive frontcourt.
