The Miami Heat made an embarrassing mistake! They immediately started selling Giannis Antetokounmpo's No. 34 jersey, and have now notified fans to exchange it for the No. 7 jersey.

As of July 7, Beijing time, LeBron James is approaching a key moment in free agency where he will decide which team to join next. Yet, according to multiple sources, his agent is expected to carry out the vast majority of the initial negotiations on his behalf.

NBA insider Haynes revealed on the show "NBA League Dynamics" that Rich Paul plans to first communicate with all interested teams one by one, then relay all the gathered information back to James, who will ultimately make the decision based on that data.

"At the moment, LeBron has no scheduled in-person meetings, and he won't have teams present their recruitment pitches to him directly," Haynes said. "What I've been told is that all the preliminary research and coordination will be handled entirely by his agent, Rich Paul. Paul will talk to each team, then pass along all the intel and team planning materials to LeBron, who will then decide his final destination."

Last week, on his own podcast, Paul ran through LeBron's potential suitors, listing the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets, San Antonio Spurs, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, and Dallas Mavericks.

Now 41 years old, James is in the twilight of his career and has no intention of sitting through face-to-face recruitment talks with dozens of teams, especially since he will likely only sign a one-year short-term deal and could retire at any time.

It's possible that once the candidate pool narrows down to just a few teams, James might join his agent for discussions, but as things stand now, the vast majority of teams will not have a chance to speak with James directly.
