On July 11, Beijing time, per Shams, a physical confrontation occurred between Adebayo and Herro. The Athletic provided further details in a subsequent report.

The scene was the indoor gym of the World Resort Casino, where Herro's amateur youth league (AAU) team was practicing. Multiple anonymous sources who witnessed the entire event revealed thatThis involved a sensitive dispute: after Adebayo entered the gym, Herro spoke to him first, and then Adebayo walked straight toward Herro and landed a punch without hesitation. Herro's youth coach stepped in to stop Adebayo, and as security escorted Herro away, he shouted at his former teammate. Both individuals eventually left the scene on their own.
A spokesperson for the Las Vegas police stated that no one reported the incident. The Heat organization acknowledged they were aware of the event but declined to comment. Multiple staff members from the Bucks and members of Taylor Jenkins' coaching team said they had no prior knowledge and also refused to respond.
Herro's two agents, Jeff Schwartz and Mike Lindeman, did not answer interview calls and offered no comment.
The Summer League game at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas saw the Heat defeat the Bucks 119-86. Herro attended the game, sitting with new teammates and coaches. During the Amazon live broadcast, Herro spoke about his former teammates: "Everything is fine. In Miami, there's only goodwill between us. I saw many former players, coaches, Chris Quinn, Coach Spo, and the entire front office. There's no rift in our relationship in Miami. This trade was a fresh start for both sides, and we're both happy with where we are."

This interview took place not long after the news of the altercation broke, and a slight bruise could be seen under Herro's eye on camera.
Adebayo and Herro played together for seven seasons with the Heat. On July 7, the Heat completed a major trade, sending Herro to the Bucks in exchange for star player Giannis Antetokounmpo.
