A well-known domestic media figure revealed:For various reasons, the Guangzhou team will not renew Guo Ailun's contract. The two sides had previously signed a two-year Class D max salary contract.

In the summer of 2024, Guo Ailun was traded from the Liaoning team to the Guangzhou team. However, during his time with the new club, he suffered a series of minor and major injuries. In mid-February last year, he had his right eye poked by a teammate during training, resulting in a conjunctival rupture.
