Goodbye, Mr. 53 Points! The Bubble Warrior bids farewell to the NBA.

Basketnews reporter Donatas Urbonas reports:T.J. Warren has signed a one-year deal with European team Paris Basketball.

Yes, that's the T.J. who once partnered with Butler as a "CP".

This guy was born on September 5, 1993, a 6'8" small forward with a 6'10" wingspan, the 14th pick in the first round of the 2014 draft.

The brightest moment of T.J.'s NBA career came during the 2019-20 bubble season, where he transformed into a super warrior. Specifically, in August 2020, he dropped 53 points by himself against the 76ers, cementing his reputation.

Sadly, T.J.'s brilliance was like a firework—dazzling but short-lived. Just as he was about to hit his peak, injuries knocked him off his pedestal,In the 2020-21 season, he played only four games before suffering a stress fracture in his foot, ending his campaign. The 2021-22 season was also a complete washout,, and after these repeated setbacks, he never managed to recover...

Abandoned by the Pacers in the summer of 2022, T.J. began a wandering journey. Over the 2022-24 seasons, he moved between the Nets, Suns, and Timberwolves, playing just 53 games in total with mediocre performances. His last appearance in a regular-season game was in April 2024, and for nearly two years, he could only grind and wait for a chance in the G League.

Although T.J. is no longer the dominant force he once was in regular-season games, traces of the former warrior could still be seen in the G League. During the 2024-25 season with the Westchester Knicks, he averaged a solid 23.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. Yet, once the league moves on from you, the separation is permanent—no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't earn a return to the NBA.

So, as stated above, it's time to let dreams give way to survival.

Having been out of the NBA for two seasons and about to turn 33, it's practically certain—no, it's already certain—that T.J.'s NBA career is over. Rather than wasting more time, it's better to cash in overseas while he still can, and it wouldn't be surprising if he ends up in the CBA someday.

According to incomplete statistics, T.J.'s total NBA career earnings amount to $82 million before taxes. He could have earned more, but unfortunately, there are no ifs.
