Tears were shed! Caught the attention of Antetokounmpo! Two-time NBA All-Star guard

"Men do not easily shed tears, but when they do, it is because they have reached the depths of sorrow."

This guy recently held a public training session in Las Vegas, inviting NBA and CBA coaches and management to evaluate his skills—essentially a job hunt. After completing an outstanding workout, he was so moved that he burst into tears.

It is worth mentioning thatThe Heat's new addition, Giannis Antetokounmpo, followed Oladipo on social media and specifically left a comment on the latter's job-seeking post mentioned above.

Could it be...

Born on May 4, 1992, Oladipo is now 34 years old. Standing 1.91 meters tall with a wingspan of 2.06 meters, he is a combo guard. He was the second overall pick in the 2013 draft. His last appearance in an NBA regular-season game was in the 2022-23 season, when he happened to be wearing a Heat jersey.

Over his ten-year NBA career, Oladipo's individual achievements include one Most Improved Player award, one All-NBA Third Team selection, one All-Defensive First Team selection, one steals title, and two All-Star appearances. His career stats are as follows:

In the regular season, he averaged 32.2 minutes, 16.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.6 steals per game, with shooting percentages of 43.6% from the field, 34.7% from three, and 78.8% from the free-throw line. In the playoffs, he averaged 29.6 minutes, 14.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.6 steals, with shooting percentages of 39.1%, 33%, and 79%.

In short, at his peak, Oladipo was a formidable player—one of the few guards in the NBA who excelled on both ends of the floor. Unfortunately, starting in 2019, he was plagued by a series of injuries that eventually knocked him off his pedestal, including a torn right knee tendon, right quadriceps surgery, and a left knee injury, among others. Otherwise, he would still be at least a rotation-level player today.

Despite the setbacks, Oladipo has never been completely defeated. In recent years, he has tried various ways to return to the NBA, including playing for the Guangzhou team in preseason games last summer, where he averaged 19.3 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game, as well as joining the Milwaukee Bucks' G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd. Unfortunately, not every effort leads to the desired outcome.

Best wishes to Oladipo. If things don't work out, the CBA or other overseas leagues could still be an option—at least to get him back on the court.
