On March 28, Beijing time, the Lakers officially announced that the team had signed Jordan Goodwin, and in order to make room for Goodwin in the regular lineup, they cut Cam Reddish. Goodwin qualified for the playoffs with this regular signing. Previously, Haynes said Goodwin had signed a standard two-year contract with a team option for the second year.

Goodwin signed a two-way contract with the Lakers on Feb. 8. Not only are two-way contract players ineligible for the playoffs, but Goodwin has reached the regular limit he can play as a two-way contract player after the game against the Pacers. The 1.96-meter-tall guard played for three different teams in the first three seasons of his NBA career. Over the past two months, he has become a consistent scorer and contributor to the Lakers.
In 19 games for the Lakers, including five starts, the 26-year-old averaged 6.4 points per game while shooting 47.0 percent from the field, 41.3 percent from three-point range and 81.8 percent from the free throw line. In addition, he averaged 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game and played 20.5 minutes per game. He made multiple steals in six games and had at least one block in seven games. Prior to signing the two-way contract, Goodwin played in 17 preseason and regular season games (nine of which were starts) for the South Bay Lakers, averaging 13.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals in 24.0 minutes per game.
Goodwin averaged 6.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 18.3 minutes per game in 140 NBA games (24 of which were starts) over four seasons. The Illinois native was left out of the 2021 NBA Draft after four college seasons (2017-21) at Saint Louis University.
Reddish played in 33 games for the Lakers this season (eight of them starts), averaging 17.9 minutes per game, 3.2 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals. He was previously sent to the Hornets in a trade involving Ma Wei, but with the Lakers canceling the trade, he returned to the roster but is no longer part of the Lakers' rotation.Reddick's next odds update, the CBA's Beijing men's basketball team ranked first, Guangdong and Shanghai tied for second.

Lakers reporter Buha said that in the past month or so, Goodwin has become an important rotation player for the Lakers, taking on the role of the team's ninth man. His aggressive performance on the defensive end, exuberant on-court energy, excellent offensive rebounding ability, accurate three-point shooting from the bottom corner, and playmaking ability when blocking and picking down are all crucial to the team. For the Lakers, it was imperative to get that done.

After the Lakers officially announced one signing and one ruling, the team's lineup became 15+2, with a regular lineup of 15 and a two-way contract of 2, as follows-

Regular lineup: James, Doncic, Hachimura, Finney-Smith, Reaves, Kleber, Vincent, Vanderbilt, Knecht, Milton, Hayes, Morris, Bronny, Ryan, Goodwin
