On July 21, 2025, the odds for the six major awards of the 2025-26 season have been released. In the regular season MVP category, Jokic is in the leading position. Yang Hansen is tied for 8th in the Rookie of the Year odds, while his Trail Blazers teammate Avdija is the frontrunner for Most Improved Player.
Regular Season MVP Odds
Jokic, who has already won three regular season MVP awards, is at +200, leading the pack, followed closely by Alexander at +225. Both are in the first tier of MVP contenders for the new season. Following them are Doncic (+650), Giannis (+800), Edwards (+1000), Wembanyama (+1400), Cunningham (+2800), Brunson (+3300), and Durant and Banchero (both at +5000).
In 11th place and beyond are: Embiid (+6600), Mitchell, Davis, and Jalen Brown (all at +10000), Curry and Morant (both at +12500), Booker and James (both at +15000).
Rookie of the Year Odds
Fleek is clearly in the lead at -225, with Tre Johnson, Bailey, and Harper (all at +800) tied for second. Next are the third overall pick Ejiqum (+900), Fears and Knuppel (both at +2500). Yang Hansen has seen his ranking soar to 8th due to his outstanding performance in the Summer League, tied with Derrick Quinn at +4000. Deming, Jakuchonis, and Little Clayton are all at +5000.
Defensive Player of the Year Odds
Only six players are on the list, with Wembanyama (-175) far ahead. If it weren't for Wembanyama's early-season injury last year, which kept him from meeting the 65-game requirement, this award would surely have been his. Holmgren (+800) ranks second. The winner from the 2024-25 season, Mobley (+900), is in third place. Others on the list include Amen Thompson (+1800), Daniels (+2200), and Davis (+3300).
Most Improved Player Odds
Yang Hansen's teammate Avdija (+800) is the top favorite, but the lead is not significant. Nembhard (+900) is in second place, with Mathurin (+1200) in third. Haliburton's season-ending injury could lead to significant data spikes for both of them. Following are Kuminga (+1400), and Amen Thompson, Henderson, Sharpe, Brandon Miller, and Ivey, all at +2000.
Sixth Man of the Year Odds
Last season's Sixth Man of the Year, Pritchard, remains the frontrunner for this award in the new season. His odds are +375, followed by Hunter (+750), Naz Reid (+1000), Beal (+1400), Dick and Jerome (both at +1600), Clarkson (+1800), Lavert (+2000), and Portis (+2500).
Beal is considered a potential starter for the Clippers, but there is also a possibility he may switch to a bench role later.
Coach of the Year Odds
Magic head coach Mosley (+350) is the most favored. This offseason, the Magic brought in Bain, enhancing their roster strength. Following are Hawks coach Snyder (+500), Nuggets coach David Adelman (+600), and Rockets coach Udoka (+700), all of whom have notably strengthened their teams during the offseason.
Further down are Spurs coach Mitch Johnson, Pistons coach Bickerstaff, Knicks' new coach Brown, Lakers coach Reddick, and Timberwolves coach Finch.
