What a performance! Three games, 121 points! The power forward who missed out on joining the Warriors.

He’s on fire, totally on fire.

He’s timid in the NBA, but becomes a powerhouse when representing his nation.

Over the past three warm-up games, Markkanen racked up 48, 31, and 42 points, summing up to 121—an absolute FIBA scoring machine.

For this year's EuroBasket, Finland landed in Group B, with group stage opponents including Germany, Lithuania, Turkey, the UK, and Sweden.

Last summer, Markkanen unfortunately wasn't traded to the Warriors and instead re-signed with his team on a five-year, $238 million contract. However, his performance last season was underwhelming, appearing in just 47 regular season games, averaging 31.4 minutes, 19 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, with shooting percentages of 42.3%, 34.6%, and 87.6%—all career lows with the Jazz.

In the 24–25 season, the Jazz finished with a 17–65 record, placing last in the West. During this summer’s draft, they picked up 2.06-meter wing Ace Bailey with the fifth overall pick. The pairing of Bailey and Markkanen next season is highly anticipated.

Of course, there’s still a chance the Jazz will trade Markkanen. As a 28-year-old All-Star forward in his prime, he holds significant value, with his salary over the next four seasons reaching $46.39 million, $46.11 million, $49.82 million, and $53.54 million respectively!
