Changsheng is set to surpass Qingrong and become the KPL’s “number one mid laner,” leaving Qingrong at JDG with no hope of winning another championship.

The mid lane is a crucial axis in KPL, influencing the pace of advancement for every position. Additionally, most mid mage players possess exceptional crowd control abilities, making them vital in defense and objectives like dismantling the Fire Altar. This further highlights the importance of the mid position, and earning an FMVP as a mid is extremely rare, second only to marksmen and supports.

During the 2023-2205 era where Changsheng competes, the utility mid laner phase demands more from players than in Qingrong’s time. Players must dominate using the economy of a utility role, which is no easy feat. On top of that, they need to excel at the assassin mage style that defined Qingrong’s era. By then, KPL had matured greatly, requiring players to be versatile, top-tier, and capable of sustaining performance consistently.

Qingrong’s 2020-2022 era was the golden age of assassin mages. At that time, eStar’s strategy was like an autumn wind sweeping leaves, leaving opponents no breathing room and pushing relentlessly. This placed extremely high demands on mid laners’ assassin skills—they weren’t the core but had to perform like one through sheer mechanical prowess. Qingrong’s signature heroes, Xishi and Zhen Ji, required exceptional game sense and macro awareness due to their low margin for error, showcasing Qingrong’s dominance and control during those years, when few rivals could match him.

Currently, both are undisputed as the top mid laners in KPL. Changsheng is the reigning number one, but Qingrong’s performance on the field remains strong, easily qualifying as a near-S-tier mid. In terms of honors, both have seven championships; Qingrong has one more FMVP than Changsheng, but Changsheng boasts a five-time consecutive championship streak and the highest-value annual FMVP in KPL history, where he delivered one of the top two individual heroic performances ever recorded.

Qingrong is exceptionally elite, while Changsheng is elite plus highly versatile, creating a “why have two stars when one will do” scenario. Unfortunately, they never competed in the same era, so their teams never met at their peaks in major tournaments. Currently, the longest-standing dynasties in KPL are only eStar and AG; teams like Wolf Team and TTG don’t compare.

However, Changsheng is about to become the KPL’s number one mid laner. Given AG’s current strength and form, winning several more championships is very likely. Meanwhile, Qingrong at JDG, tied by the “bond” of Wu Wei, is unlikely to add any more titles to his record!

Arthur’s Mind Police skin is also a great monthly reward in the gift catalog. Although it has appeared in the skin shard shop, it is not frequently available. This sci-fi themed skin features Arthur clad in high-tech armor, looking very cool. The effects include many sci-fi elements: the second skill summons three plasma shields that rotate around him, and his ultimate causes blue energy to continuously surge beneath enemies’ feet after hitting them, creating a stunning visual. The sound effects are light and futuristic, making both the feel and visuals of the Mind Police skin excellent.
