Hello everyone, I'm Xiaodi from the gaming world.

Recently, Honor of Kings introduced a new mini-game called "One Shot to Fame." It seems the success of the last "Guard Chentang Pass" encouraged them to roll out another quick update. In this article, I'll walk you through the gameplay and provide some tips—let's dive in!

Mini-Game: "One Shot to Fame"

The mechanics are quite simple: you need to find the right angle to launch a ball, hit and clear the blocks. As long as you eliminate all obstacles within the given conditions, you pass the level. Unlike previous mini-games, this one has a total of 26 levels. Of course, the final level is the familiar endless mode, designed for players to climb the scoreboard and compete for rankings.

There are three main types of levels. Normal levels require clearing all blocks within a specific number of shots. Score-based levels have blocks that move down one row every two turns; you must not exceed the time limit or cross the red line, and you need to reach a certain score. For collection levels, you must use the ball to touch all the collectibles.

Compared to previous events, the rewards this time are much less generous. The "Guard Chentang Pass" event gave away Jiang Ziya's new skin "Pathfinder," and the earlier match-3 mini-game was tied to Luna's new epic skin. This time, the reward is only 75 Star Coins.

Clearance Tips

Although this mini-game is fairly simple, there are still some tricks to avoid frequent failure:

First, prioritize clearing blocks on the sides. Opening up the sides gives the ball enough room to bounce, allowing you to eliminate more blocks with limited shots. If you encounter thick blocks with high HP, repeatedly hit the same spot from a diagonal angle to wear them down gradually.

Second, use angled shots more often. This lets the ball bounce between the left and right walls, hitting multi-layered stacks of blocks more efficiently. If you shoot straight up, the ball will drop immediately without any bounce space.

Third, generally avoid rapid consecutive shots. Wait for the current ball to complete a full bounce and stabilize before launching the next one. Otherwise, multiple balls might interfere with each other, causing you to lose more than you gain.

Fourth, clear the bottom blocks first. This tip applies especially to score-based levels. Once the bottom row is gone, the upper blocks will fall naturally, making the rest much easier. For blocks in blind corners, aim at the gap between the block and the wall to hit them with a second bounce.

Finally, a few additional notes: if a stubborn block in a corner just won't go away, leave it for now and clear other areas. That corner block might shift as the board changes, making it easier to handle later. In normal levels with limited shots, every ball counts—slow down your firing pace and ensure each shot hits effectively.

That's all for today. If you found this helpful, feel free to leave a like to support me. If you have anything to say, ask, or want to see, drop a comment below—I'll read them all!
