Hello everyone, I'm Game Xiaodi.

These days, the original price of new epic skins in King of Glory is generally 888 coupons, whether limited or direct-sale. Legendary limited skins tend to be 100 coupons more expensive than direct-sale ones, costing 1788 and 1688 coupons respectively. Have you ever been curious about this?

Actually, early King of Glory epic skins also had a 788 coupon price. For example, Li Bai's well-known "Thousand-Year Fox" was 788 coupons. That skin was added to the fragment shop last year and can now be exchanged using skin fragments. However, no such price has appeared since then. The last 788 coupon skin belongs to Liu Bang, which is the focus of today's introduction.

Liu Bang has been available for ten years.

Liu Bang is actually a very early hero in King of Glory—though not one of the "original" ones. He was released in 2016, so it's been a full 10 years. Unfortunately, this hero isn't very popular. Over the past decade, Liu Bang has only received five skins, most of which are below epic quality. The only epic skin he has is Count Dracula.

That skin was released in 2017, about a year after Liu Bang's debut, priced at 788 coupons. After that, all epic skins in King of Glory became 888 coupons. Since then, Liu Bang has never received another epic or higher-quality skin—it's been over nine years. Count Dracula was also quickly added to the skin fragment shop.

Some players jokingly say this is the consequence of not having a CP (couple). Look at other sidelaners like Xiang Yu and Sun Ce—they've gotten many skins thanks to their CP heroes. But in reality, Xiang Yu and Sun Ce are much more popular than Liu Bang anyway, and some of their skins have nothing to do with CP heroes at all, especially Sun Ce's.

Liu Bang's strength.

Surprisingly, many may not know that Liu Bang hasn't received any adjustments for nearly two years. The last adjustment was in July 2024, with a major change in June when all exclusive equipment was removed and some effects were integrated into heroes' own skills. Liu Bang was one of the few heroes with exclusive equipment, so he underwent a major overhaul. After that, only minor balance tweaks were made, and no further changes have occurred.

The reason is simple: Liu Bang's strength is surprisingly balanced. In the current version, his win rate is relatively stable—close to 51% across all ranks, and even higher in peak matches. So there's naturally no reason to adjust him. As for his current strength, he's actually quite good. This hero hasn't been negatively affected by the teleportation ability; on the contrary, it greatly enhances his mobility. Previously, using his ultimate to teleport to a teammate meant giving up his lane, but now he can quickly teleport back, allowing him to both team fight and farm effectively.
