Hello everyone, I'm Xiaodi from Game World.
As you all know, Honor of Kings periodically gives partial reworks to heroes that fall behind. However, most heroes don't see much change after reworks—they still lack popularity. Of course, there are exceptions, and that's the new season's Bian Que. After a week of player adaptation, his win rate has already returned to over 50%, now around 51%, and his pick rate is also decent, making him a fully-fledged popular mage.

Overall, Bian Que's changes are quite significant. Only his core mechanic was kept, so veteran Bian Que players won't feel too unfamiliar, but everything else was adjusted.

There are three key changes: First, his passive now allows him to revive a fallen teammate, with a total of three uses. However, unlike Taiyi Zhenren's on-the-spot revive, this only removes the respawn timer—the teammate still needs to return from the base, so its impact on team fights is not as great as imagined. Second, there's a synergy between abilities: if Bian Que's second skill overlaps with his first, it increases range, speed, and explosion radius, raising his skill ceiling. Third, his ultimate now has an execute effect. In the past, Bian Que had a similar effect, but it was less direct and less exaggerated, since it required stacking poison marks.
Actually, before the rework, Bian Que had low popularity and almost no one played him, but his win rate was quite healthy—higher than many heroes. After the rework, his win rate quickly dropped, which is a normal phenomenon. Unless it's an absolute epic buff that directly boosts win rate, most heroes go through a drop-then-rise process.

After all, veteran Bian Que players have been using him for years with muscle memory, so their first reaction was "unfamiliar." But once players adapt, Bian Que's strength is properly reflected, and his win rate recovers. Additionally, the new season's equipment changes, like the addition of the Immortal Gear, greatly affect Bian Que since it's quite compatible with him. This means builds have changed, and playstyle needs slight adjustments, potentially extending the adaptation period.
Overall, Bian Que's current popularity in the camp system is T0. Although he's at the bottom of that tier, it's still impressive. Moreover, with such high popularity, his win rate rebounded to over 51%, proving that this rework is indeed successful.

Finally, here's how to play the new Bian Que: Still learn skill 1 at level 1, as it's better for clearing minions. Skill 2, without skill 1's boost, deals limited damage. At level 2, Bian Que gains more room for skill combos, which is a big power spike. Try to link skill 2 with skill 1 to maximize damage.
After that, focus on normal farming. Bian Que's real strength lies in team fights, so participate as much as possible. This allows better poison stacking, healing marks on teammates, and maximizing his ultimate's effect. As for the revival chance, avoid using it early since the respawn timer is short. Save it for later when the timer is longer. Generally, prioritize giving it to the jungler or marksman for better results. In intense team fights, consider giving it to highly mobile heroes so they can rush back to battle and potentially clean up—an unexpected turnaround.

That's all for today. If you liked it, feel free to leave a like to support me. If you have anything to say, ask, or want to see, leave a comment, and I'll check them all out~
