Hello everyone, I'm Game Xiaodi.

Generally speaking, duo queuing is still easier for climbing ranks than solo queuing. When it comes to duo queuing, the coordination between support and marksman is undoubtedly the most common team composition choice. But which combinations actually yield the best results? Xiaodi checked the official camp data and discovered the three most compatible hero pairs, determined mainly by a synergy index. According to the official explanation, this index reflects how well two heroes complement each other's weaknesses and enhance each other's strengths during in-game cooperation.

Mark Polo + Yao

The "Ma Yao" combo is a classic in the canyon, with an official synergy index as high as 18.44. This should be the top-ranked duo among all marksman-support combinations. This data is not without reason, as the mechanical complementarity between Mark Polo and Yao is almost flawless.

Mark Polo's strengths are high mobility, true damage, and burst potential, while his weaknesses are clear: he's weak in the early game, lacks reliable crowd control, and his ultimate requires close-range casting. Yao just happens to patch up these flaws:

During the laning phase, Yao helps clear waves and poke, so Mark Polo doesn't get too pressured. In the mid-to-late game, which is Mark Polo's power spike, Yao's first skill provides long-range crowd control, allowing her to lock down enemies before Mark Polo's ultimate engages, preventing him from missing his ultimate. Most importantly, the true damage shield from Yao's ultimate lets Mark Polo dive in with protection, reducing the risk of instantly dying during his ultimate since he needs to spin in close range. With Yao's shield, his margin for error increases significantly.

Lu Ban No. 7 + Shield General

The combo of Lu Ban No. 7 and Shield General has a synergy index of 16.63. Many players probably didn't expect this, as most assume Lu Ban Master is a better match—after all, the "father-son" duo is quite famous—but actually this pair's synergy index isn't that high.

Lu Ban No. 7's biggest issue is his lack of mobility. When facing assassin dives, he basically relies on Flash or teammate protection. Shield General's skill can block many projectile attacks, such as Gan Jiang Mo Xie's flying swords, John's snipes, and Mozi's cannon, all of which can be blocked. Moreover, after Shield General's rework, his ultimate can add a turret effect, protecting Lu Ban No. 7 while also providing him with sustained output capability during team fights. This is a significant boost, especially since Lu Ban No. 7's passive sweeping deals percentage damage, making him one of the best marksmen against tanky frontliners. Once Shield General provides him with space to attack, the damage becomes explosive—essentially creating a mobile fortress for Lu Ban.

John + Mozi

The combo of John and Mozi has a synergy index of 12.93. Although the number isn't as high as the previous two pairs, in terms of annoyance, this duo definitely ranks first. The core of these two heroes' combination is one word: poke.

Mozi's second skill is a long-range cannon shot with a stun effect, while John's second skill is an ultra-long-range snipe with high damage. Together, these two skills create an absurd synergy: Mozi first lands a shot to stun the enemy, then John's accuracy becomes very high, hit in most cases, and one snipe can bring a squishy target to half HP or below. Since both skills have extremely long ranges, enemies often get worn down before they even see their opponents.

Apart from creating sniping opportunities for John, Mozi's crowd control also serves as a strong protective measure. When someone dives, Mozi can activate his ultimate close up to stun them, while John can use his ultimate to reposition and counterattack. John's late-game damage speaks for itself—three normal shots can take out a squishy target as a routine play.

That's all for today. If you found it interesting, feel free to give a like to support. If there's anything you'd like to say, ask, or see, leave a comment below—I'll check them out~
