Hello everyone, I'm Game Xiaodi.

Yesterday, Honor of Kings unexpectedly dropped the collaborative skins for Mozi's Ultraman Tiga series, which indeed caught many players off guard. However, this nostalgic collaboration has generated significant buzz, directly driving Mozi's popularity to skyrocket. He has now firmly ascended to T0-tier hero status. So, how well has he performed? Let's discuss it in this issue.

Mozi's data skyrocketed

In fact, Mozi's original data wasn't bad. His win rate was consistently above 50%, and his pick rate was around 10%. This was mainly due to his own strength. Currently, Mozi is mostly played as a roamer. His second skill's long-range poke helps the ADC establish a significant lane advantage early on, spreading that advantage to the whole map.

After the Ultraman Tiga skin launched, Mozi's pick rate increased by 12.1% across all ranks, 8.4% in peak matches, and 5.9% in high-tier games. Correspondingly, his ban rate also rose—by 12.8% across all ranks and 8.1% in peak matches—since players who don't normally play Mozi often try out the new skin, which can be quite annoying.

Tips and tricks

Now that you have the new skin, you'll want to use it. Here are some tips for Mozi that might help you:

Use the second skill from a bush to improve accuracy. Mozi's second skill has a very long range. When it hits a target, it leaves a crater, which is the key to dealing damage. To increase your hit rate, try casting this skill from within a bush, so the enemy can't see the projectile's trajectory and it becomes much easier to land.

Chain your crowd control. Mozi actually has a lot of CC, which is why he successfully transitioned from mid to roam. He can execute a full CC chain on his own, providing a stable environment for his teammates. For example, you can start with the enhanced basic attack from his first skill to knock back enemies, then immediately follow up with his second skill. If you seamlessly connect these two CCs, the enemy won't have a chance to move. Additionally, when his ultimate is about to end, you can pre-drag his second skill to land another chain of CC and damage without interruption.

Adjust your facing direction to change the ultimate's control area. Mozi's ultimate is his longest-duration CC skill, but it has a limited range. If the edge of the control area just barely touches the target, they might escape quickly. In this case, you can use Flash to reposition yourself and change your facing direction. For instance, you can turn the square-shaped area into a diamond-shaped one, making the path of control longer for specific positions.

The knockback from the enhanced basic attack isn't single-target. After three basic attacks or using his first skill, Mozi gains an enhanced basic attack. However, this is actually an area-of-effect skill: it knocks back enemies in front of him, and nearby enemies are also knocked back and take damage. This makes it a sort of AoE CC. When combined with Flash, you can even push enemies backward instead.
