Choose skin fragments in these situations

Or, take the recent situation where two limited skins were added to the fragment shop in a row: Jinshan's "Compassionate Zen Heart" and Meng Qi's "Lost Pet." Both skins are currently displayed, and Meng Qi's skin only has a one-month redemption window, so time is tight. If you want these skins, you should naturally choose skin fragments first, since 20 fragments essentially cover half the progress. The remaining 28 fragments can usually be gathered through regular channels.

If your skin fragment reserve is below 88. If you've been paying attention, you'll notice that the skin fragment shop has been refreshing at a high frequency recently. Besides the two new limited skins, there were also many permanent skins added last month, such as Duolia's "Sea Trail" and Luban No.7's "Speed Courier." So, many players' skin fragment reserves are running low. Given this trend, it's hard to guarantee that the shop won't keep adding new skins at this pace, possibly even limited skins like Jinshan's and Meng Qi's. Thus, it's wise to prepare some extra skin fragments just in case. Generally, legendary skins are unlikely, so the highest tier is epic skins. Therefore, aim for a reserve of 88 fragments; if you're short of that number, it's better to start saving up.

In other situations, choose the lottery tickets

Apart from the situations above, you can safely go for the 6 lottery tickets in all other cases. Let's do a pure value calculation: 1 lottery ticket equals 60 honor points, so 6 tickets equal 360 honor points. Moreover, lottery tickets give you a chance to obtain Honor Crystal fragments and various rare items, so the potential gain is much higher than 20 skin fragments. If you get lucky and pull a crystal fragment or a rare drop, the value far exceeds that of 20 skin fragments.

Although the rewards from lottery tickets are random, each draw still gives you some prizes, and you might even get skin fragments. Even if you're unlucky, it's fine because the number of draws accumulates, so you won't lose out in the long run. For players who have already exchanged everything they want from the skin fragment shop, lottery tickets are almost the only valuable option.

For most players, skin fragments are still recommended as the better choice.
