VCTCN: K unleashed his full firepower, achieving a quad kill, as BLG overcame TYL to secure a spot in the championship match.

In the upper bracket semifinals of the 2025 VCTCN Stage 2 playoffs, BLG overcame TYL 2-1 to reach the upper bracket final, thereby earning a place at the Paris Champions event.

Map 1: Industrial Hub

Defending side TYL: Brimstone, Raze, Omen, Yoru, Viper

Attacking side BLG: Brimstone, Omen, K/O, Raze, Viper

In the pistol round of the first half, nephh soloed in the bathrooms to take down two opponents, breaking through TYL's defense at A site. In the third round, TYL’s full-buy was shattered by a whzy triple kill in the bathrooms. BLG took the first three rounds, but in the fourth, TYL’s eco saw LaoJiu score a righteous triple kill on B heaven, leading his team to their first point. In round six, TYL forced up with a Judge and Stinger, but Ninebody couldn't clutch the B site retake. BLG went on a four-round streak, but in round nine, TYL held A site, withstanding BLG’s split to recover two points. In round 11, BLG eliminated two TYL players at A, rotated to B, and secured the win. The first half ended with BLG leading TYL 9-3.

Moving into the second half, BLG won the retake, but yoyo managed to delay the defuse, giving TYL the pistol round. In round 15, BLG held the B entrance to secure the bonus. They took two more rounds, and in round 17, whzy picked off each opponent in the A retake for an ACE, but ran out of time to defuse, so TYL still won the round. In round 18, Scales earned a quad kill on attack. In round 19, TYL tried to sneak into B but got caught by BLG, losing the spike at site and BLG clutched the round. On match point in round 20, BLG surrounded TYL for the win, taking Map 1 with a 13-7 score.

Map 2: Frost Harbor

Attacking side BLG: Harbor, Sova, Viper, Jett, Killjoy

Defending side TYL: Viper, Killjoy, Omen, Jett, Sova

TYL claimed the pistol round in the first half. In round 4, BLG kept probing for info at A, and in the last 30 seconds, they pushed in with utility, but TYL’s solid hold inside site secured the round. In round 7, yoyo’s Viper ult held off BLG’s A attack, and their B rotate was stopped by TYL’s quick retake. In round 8, K clutched against LaoJiu, giving BLG back-to-back rounds. In round 10, TYL’s eco saw slowly’s Jett get a Blade Storm triple kill to defend A, flipping the round and boosting their economy. Despite an early lead, TYL couldn’t widen the gap, while BLG capitalized on duels and quick site executes after getting the opening pick. The half ended with TYL leading BLG 7-5.

BLG won the pistol in the second half to tie the score. In round 16, during a rifle round, Levius was picked off by LaoJiu, and TYL grouped for a B rush to win. Levius was first blooded by TYL in two consecutive rounds, and in round 17, slowly notched a quad kill in mid. TYL went on a three-round streak; in rounds 19 and 20, Ninebody and slowly’s precise aim held off BLG’s retakes to reach match point. In round 22, TYL rushed B and held the post-plant for the win, taking Map 2 with a 13-9 victory.

Map 3: Lotus City

Defending side BLG: Viper, Omen, Omen, Raze, Vise

Attacking side TYL: Raze, Vise, Omen, Omen, Viper

TYL took the pistol round in the first half, but in round 2, K clutched against LaoJiu for a comeback. Starting from round 4, TYL lost two players, leaving three to force a B push, but LaoJiu's crossfire at site held off BLG’s retake. In round 5, a chaotic fight at A saw BLG stall TYL’s attack, and in the final moments, BLG pulled off a 2v1 clutch. BLG went on a five-round streak; in round 10, TYL rushed A and eliminated rushia for the plant, but BLG retook the site, and slowly clutched against K for the win. TYL clawed back two rounds but couldn’t win the last round of the half, which ended with BLG ahead 7-5 over TYL.

BLG won the pistol round in the second half. In round 15, BLG pushed C but lost whzy, then rotated four players to B, where nephh and rushia combined to eliminate all five TYL players, netting BLG three straight rounds. In round 16, BLG rushed A main but lost two to TYL’s coordinated utility, then rotated to C for a successful plant and defense. In round 17, BLG took down yoyo’s Omen at B, and both sides made mistakes at A main, but K stabilized the situation, and in the clutch, Levius held the retake with a double kill to secure match point, and BLG closed it out. BLG ran off six straight rounds in the second half to win Map 3, advancing to the upper bracket final and earning a spot at the Paris Champions tournament.
