VCTCN: The young dragon strikes fiercely, DRG defeats BLG 2-1 to advance to the finals!

In the 2025 VCTCN Stage 2 Winners' Bracket Final, DRG defeated BLG 2-1 to advance to the Stage 2 Grand Final!

Map 1: Hidden Sanctuary

Defense: BLG - Yōuyǐng, Lièxiāo, Tiěbì, Nǐhóng, Zero

Attack: DRG - Yījué, Zero, Lièxiāo, Yèlù, Yōuyǐng

In the first half, DRG took the pistol round and two additional rounds, but BLG reclaimed B site after DRG left it open. In round 4, BLG gave up C site but held the garage; DRG countered inside the site using skill combos to eliminate BLG and win the round. DRG secured two more rounds, but in round 6 BLG’s crucial defense held strong when nephh stopped DRG’s push on C site. Then, little K dominated with a four-kill, leading BLG to a five-round winning streak. Although DRG started strong, BLG’s retakes and Tiěbì’s counterplays stifled DRG’s momentum. The half ended with BLG leading 7-5 over DRG.

In the second half, DRG narrowly won the pistol round. BLG aggressively pushed in round 14 but failed, falling into an economic disadvantage. In round 16, BLG faked C site but attacked A, where DRG heavily defended. Despite this, DRG lost the close gunfights inside the site, allowing BLG to score the first point of the half. Both teams traded rounds, but DRG’s five players performed better overall, each stepping up to lead their team to victory. In round 22, DRG took the initiative with a forward push, completely disrupting BLG and securing match point. In round 23, DRG trapped BLG at A entrance and eliminated them all, winning Map 1 with a score of 13-10.

Map 2: Lotus Ancient City

Defense: BLG - Kuíshe, Hēimèng, Yōuyǐng, Léizī, Wéisī

Attack: DRG - Zero, Nǐhóng, Tiěbì, Yèlù, Yōuyǐng

BLG won the pistol round in the first half, and DRG’s force buy in round 2 failed. BLG started strong with three consecutive rounds, but DRG began rushing C site aggressively in the rifle rounds, quickly breaking defenses and securing early kills to hold the site, resulting in a three-round streak. BLG called a timeout to adjust and it worked; whzy’s four-kill in round 9 at C site stopped DRG’s fast attack. After BLG scored two more rounds, DRG responded immediately following their timeout. In round 12, BLG eliminated two defenders at B site, gained intel, and blocked DRG at C site entrance, winning the round. The first half ended with BLG leading 7-5 over DRG.

In the second half, BLG won the pistol round. In round 16, during a rifle battle, BLG attacked C site but were picked off one by one by DRG. DRG then won four rounds in a row to tie the score. In round 19, BLG planted the spike at B, but little K won the clutch against DRG’s retake. In round 21, DRG applied pressure on both A and C sites, gaining intel. After BLG failed to defend B, they attempted to break through A site defense, successfully winning a 3v5 situation. In round 22, the match point round, BLG planted at C site, but nephh secured a four-kill clutch, leading BLG to a 13-9 victory on Map 2.

Map 3: Sunset City

Defense: DRG - Zero, Nǐhóng, Hēimèng, Yèlù, Yōuyǐng

Attack: BLG - Yōuyǐng, Lièxiāo, K/O, Nǐhóng, Zero

BLG won the pistol round and followed with a four-round winning streak in the first half. DRG called a timeout and quickly responded by winning two rounds in a row. BLG also scored immediately after their timeout. In round 8’s clutch at A site, Nicc eliminated Levius but ran out of time to defuse. BLG maintained control and led 7-5 going into the second half.

In the second half, BLG won the pistol round, but DRG completed a comeback with two consecutive rounds. In round 16, DRG pushed and held B site, eliminating all BLG players. DRG then won four rounds in a row. In round 18, BLG forced a rifle round again, but DRG executed a pincer attack from three directions, breaking through BLG’s defense and winning the rifle round. DRG’s seven-round streak in the second half earned them match point. whzy fought back to recover two match points for BLG. In round 23, DRG took A site, but BLG retook and scored another round. In round 24, BLG pushed mid and got the first kill but failed to hold the defense at A site. DRG won Map 3 13-11, advancing to the final.
