Comeback from behind! BLG defeats JDG 3-2! Beichuan’s return saves the day, ELK delivers explosive damage

In the LPL playoffs BO5 between BLG and JDG, most expected BLG to win before the series. After a fierce five-game battle, BLG, with Beichuan back, overturned a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2 and advance to the next round! JDG dropped to the losers' bracket.

In game one, BLG fielded Ornn top, Wukong jungle, Annie mid, and Aphelios with Bard bot; JDG chose Rumble top, Jarvan jungle, Galio mid, and Kai’Sa with Alistar bot. During laning, both teams contested the dragon. Zhuo’s Alistar engaged on BLG’s two carries, combined with Xiaoxu’s Rumble ultimate, JDG scattered BLG’s formation and secured a 5-for-1 team wipe. JDG led by 2k gold early on.

Mid-game, JDG took the Rift Herald. At 25 minutes, Knight’s Annie was caught out in the brush and killed, and Shadow’s Wukong also made a mistake and was slain. JDG secured the first Baron. At 26 minutes, ON’s Bard was caught and killed in the jungle, Xun’s Jarvan ult opened the fight, and JDG wiped BLG again to claim the first game. Xiaoxu’s Rumble dealt the highest damage in this match.

In game two, BLG picked Renekton top, Troll jungle, Ryze mid, and Miss Fortune with Nautilus bot; JDG chose Jax top, Kindred jungle, Ahri mid, and Sivir with Braum bot. JDG gained momentum early, successfully ganking top, with Xiaoxu’s Jax securing first blood. They dominated the jungle, took down the first top turret, and led by 1k gold early.

Mid-game, JDG aggressively contested the Rift Herald. BLG came to contest, but Xiaoxu’s Jax flanked. ON’s Nautilus was the first to be caught and instantly killed, ELK’s Miss Fortune was burst down, and JDG executed a flawless 4-for-0 fight to claim the Rift Herald. At 22 minutes, a river skirmish saw JDG secure the drake and a 4-for-1 chase. At 25 minutes, BLG tried Baron, but JDG arrived; ON’s Nautilus initiated but was instantly killed. JDG took the first Baron. At 27 minutes, JDG pushed from bot to base, wiped BLG, and won the second game. MVP was awarded to Zhuo’s Braum.

In game three, BLG’s lineup was Aphelios top, Nocturne jungle, Orianna mid, and Rakan with Xayah bot; JDG chose Quasanti top, Xin Zhao jungle, Taliyah mid, and Jhin with Rell bot. During laning, Knight’s Orianna solo killed Scout’s Taliyah, and Scout was heavily targeted, dying four times early. BLG led by 3k gold in the early phase.

Mid-game, BLG killed three JDG members mid and took the Rift Herald. At 25 minutes, after killing Scout’s Taliyah again in their jungle, BLG secured the first Baron. At 27 minutes, BLG easily pushed JDG’s base, wiped four players without loss, and took the third game.

In game four, JDG fielded Aatrox top, Sejuani jungle, Yone mid, and Varus with Maokai bot; BLG chose Sion top, Morgana jungle, Tristana mid, and Ziggs with Leona bot. In laning, Knight’s Tristana solo killed Scout’s Yone, giving BLG first blood. BLG grouped and took down two bottom turrets, killed JDG’s top and mid laners repeatedly, and secured Rift Herald, leading by 6k gold early.

Mid-game, both teams fought over the Rift Herald. Xun’s Sejuani secured it while BLG killed JDG’s top and support. At 26 minutes, ELK’s Ziggs relentlessly poked mid, Knight’s Tristana seized the Dragon Soul, and BLG killed Zhuo’s Maokai in the jungle, securing the first Baron. At 30 minutes, Knight’s Tristana finished at the base, BLG wiped JDG, and won the fourth game. MVP was given to ELK’s Ziggs.

In game five, JDG picked Yorick top, Naya Feili jungle, Twisted Fate mid, and Ezreal with Blitzcrank bot; BLG chose Mordekaiser top, Poppy jungle, Malzahar mid, and Caitlyn with Elise bot. In laning, BLG’s bot lane gained advantage, taking down the first bottom turret. Early on, BLG secured two dragons and Rift Herald, leading by 2k gold.

Mid-game, Peyz’s Ezreal stepped into Caitlyn’s trap and was killed by ELK, allowing BLG to take the Rift Herald. At 25 minutes, Knight’s Malzahar was killed again, but Beichuan secured the Water Dragon Soul. At 26 minutes, BLG used vision control to swiftly steal the first Baron. JDG’s attempt to stop them was too late. After taking Baron, BLG chased down and wiped JDG, securing the match victory at 28 minutes.
