BLG lost again! They were defeated 0-1 by G2! Shadow made a crucial mistake, while Caps' Anivia performed exceptionally well.

In the S15 World Championship Swiss round BO1 matchup of BLG versus G2, BLG unexpectedly lost 0-1 to G2, adding another loss to their record and facing a risky situation ahead.

In this game, BLG banned Azir, Wukong, Sion, Cassiopeia, and Taliyah, picking Quasanti top, Qiyana jungle, Ryze mid, and Ezreal with Leona bot; G2 banned Irelia, Sivir, Yuumi, Neeko, and Orianna, selecting Poppy top, Xin Zhao jungle, Anivia mid, and Varus with Braum bot.

At 6 minutes during the laning phase, both teams contested the dragon. After G2 secured it, Bin's Quasanti engaged a fight, with G2 chasing the low-health Bin, but BLG counterattacked and scored a 3-for-0 trade, with Knight's Ryze securing a triple kill. Later, G2 took the second dragon, and when BLG tried to chase, G2 countered and killed three BLG members, regaining the advantage. At 15 minutes, BrokenBlade’s Poppy solo killed Bin’s Quasanti. Early on, G2 destroyed the first tower on the top lane, but both teams remained nearly even in gold. In the mid-game at 17 minutes, G2 took the dragon without damage. At 21 minutes, BLG caught Caps’ Anivia in the bot lane, but G2’s other four members took Elder Dragon in exchange, forcing BLG to push mid lane instead.

At 22 minutes, Shadow’s Xin Zhao made a critical error and was instantly killed, with ON’s Leona also falling shortly after. Knight’s Ryze was forced to flash away, and G2 claimed the Dragon Soul. At 24 minutes, after BLG killed BrokenBlade’s Poppy in the top lane and pushed forward, G2 found an opportunity to engage, and with BrokenBlade’s Poppy revived, they surrounded and eliminated three BLG players, securing the first Baron Nashor.

At 27 minutes, BLG initiated a fight in the bot lane, but Hans Sama’s Varus dealt massive damage, and Skewmond’s Xin Zhao scored a quadra kill. G2 wiped out BLG and secured the victory in the match!
