Introduction: The S16 season is approaching, and nearly all players have been keeping an eye on the offseason. Leading players from LPL and LCK are conducting their last training sessions on the Korean server. Observers of Korean server accounts might have spotted a fresh new account in high-tier games lately. This account carries no annotations and has an exceptionally high win rate, climbing to the top of the Korean server with a 95% win rate. So far, it has only lost four matches, maintaining a 92% win rate overall. According to some online rumors, this might be Elon Musk's AI account. Indeed, this is the power of technology. If he truly assembles an AI team, it might even defeat human teams to win championships. However, this account’s identity has not been definitively confirmed yet.

Most players are quite familiar with League of Legends. As an esports game, it has grown tremendously in just over a decade. Now, the competitive scene seems to have reached a plateau. The LCK region has once again dominated the league, with no other region able to challenge it. After T1 won their sixth World Championship, tech giant Elon Musk announced plans to form an AI team to enter League of Legends. This news quickly sparked widespread discussion among players, as many still believe AI cannot match the flexibility of human gameplay.

Recently, a surprising new account appeared on the LCK Korean server. It is clearly a newly registered account, with its first game played at 11 PM on January 8th, starting directly in the Master-Diamond rank. Within just two days, it climbed to the number one spot on the Korean server with a 95% win rate. So far, it has played 56 ranked games with 52 wins and 4 losses, holding a 92% win rate and reaching 804 points in Challenger rank, placing third on the server. This account has now stopped playing ranked games, possibly signaling the end of data testing. It’s unlikely to be a human player, since it played continuously from the night of the 8th until early morning on the 11th—something no human could sustain—and the account hasn’t been banned by the server.

Looking at the match history, the four losses were against champions Lissandra, Galio, Cassiopeia, and Warwick. This account only solo queues mid and jungle roles, winning all jungle games but losing all four mid games. It’s almost certain this is an AI test account, as no human could play high-intensity ranked matches nonstop without breaks, nor maintain a 95% win rate at such a high ELO. Even the best professional players cannot achieve this. Moreover, the account not being banned suggests it is legitimate testing.

If this experiment succeeds, the AI team’s strength would be incredibly high, easily reaching the top of the Korean server—a feat no professional player has accomplished. Imagine five top-tier AI players combined; what kind of synergy could they produce? Many fans express that this time, only Faker can be the hope for humanity. He must fight for humans and aim for a seventh championship. If such a team exists, fairness might require limiting AI reaction and input speeds, because otherwise, human players would be unable to compete.

I thought Elon Musk’s AI team was just talk before, but now it’s already testing on the Korean server. After just over 50 ranked games, it has topped the Korean server with a 95% win rate. It’s truly terrifying. I wonder how the pro scene would handle facing Faker’s T1 team if this AI squad appears. Can they really fight for humanity and win the championship?
