During the first stage of the LPL, BLG and WBG played a BO3 series. After three intense games, BLG overturned the deficit to win 2-1 over WBG, grabbing their first victory and handing WBG their initial defeat.

In game one, BLG had Yahang in the top lane, Monkey in the jungle, Azir mid, and Varus with Nautilus bot; WBG’s lineup was Anbesa top, Jarvan jungle, LeBlanc mid, and Yuumi with Neeko bot. At 5 minutes, a 2v2 skirmish occurred bot lane where ELK’s Yuumi killed ON’s Nautilus, while Knight’s Azir solo killed Xiao Hu’s LeBlanc mid. Later, a 3v3 fight bot saw Xiao Hu’s LeBlanc quickly join, but WBG secured a 3-for-0 trade. Then WBG caught bin’s Yahang top, gaining early pressure with the dragon soul ready, while BLG took down the first tower top. WBG held a 3k gold lead early on.
At 25 minutes, a major dragon pit teamfight broke out. ON’s Nautilus caught Xiao Hu’s LeBlanc with Q, instantly killing her, but Knight’s Azir missed his ultimate. Despite being outnumbered 4v5, WBG performed flawlessly, with ELK’s Yuumi cleaning up and wiping BLG 5-for-1, securing the first dragon. At 27 minutes, bin’s Yahang was instantly killed, and WBG claimed the Earth Dragon soul. Later at 33 minutes, Xiao Hu’s LeBlanc killed Viper’s Varus, but WBG responded with a 3-for-0 fight, taking the second dragon. At 34 minutes, BLG used all abilities on ELK’s Yuumi in the river but failed to kill her. WBG counterattacked perfectly, killing four BLG members and winning the first game. The highest damage dealer was Zika’s Anbesa for WBG, and Viper’s Varus led for BLG.

In game two, WBG picked Renekton top, Mundo jungle, Aurelion mid, and Corki with Blitzcrank bot; BLG chose Gnar top, Rumble jungle, Syndra mid, and Aphelios with Thresh bot. At 6 minutes, WBG’s three-man gank top tower dove and killed bin’s Gnar, with jiejie’s Mundo getting first blood. At 8 minutes, a bot lane 2v2 fight erupted, with Viper’s Aphelios killing Erha’s Blitzcrank. Early game gold was roughly even for both sides.
At 20 minutes, BLG swiftly secured the first dragon. By 23 minutes, BLG claimed the dragon soul ready. At 28 minutes, river skirmishes led BLG to initiate a fight, killing WBG’s top and support, then taking the Cloud Dragon soul. At 29 minutes, BLG started the Baron, with jiejie’s Mundo securing the second dragon. Later at 35 minutes, mid lane clashes saw Xiao Hu’s Aurelion flank but get instantly killed. BLG managed a 2-for-0 trade, then took the Elder Dragon and the third dragon. Finally, at 37 minutes, BLG killed four WBG members at their base and won the second game. Viper’s Aphelios was awarded MVP.

In game three, BLG ran Sion top, Zhao Xin jungle, Taliyah mid, and Miss Fortune with Alistar bot; WBG fielded Rek’Sai top, Vi jungle, Cassiopeia mid, and Ezreal with Braum bot. During laning, BLG repeatedly dove bot lane towers and secured two dragons, while WBG took down the first tower top. BLG held a 1k gold lead early on.
At 24 minutes, BLG initiated mid lane on Xiao Hu’s Cassiopeia and killed her. Then ON’s Alistar tower-dived ELK’s Ezreal, and BLG eliminated WBG’s two carries, securing the first Baron. At 30 minutes, both teams contested the dragon. xun’s Zhao Xin stole the dragon soul ready, but after WBG killed xun, they aggressively started Baron. BLG’s others tried to stop them, but Xiao Hu’s Cassiopeia flanked and initiated a fight. WBG collapsed, killing three BLG members, and took the Baron. At 33 minutes, while WBG grouped to push, BLG found an opportunity to engage perfectly, killing WBG’s mid and support. Then they caught ELK’s Ezreal in the river and pushed straight to secure the third game victory.
