The 2026 LPL Spring Split is underway, featuring an intriguing schedule where Peak Group teams only compete against each other, guaranteeing high-level matchups! In a BO3 between BLG and WBG, both teams are newly established powerhouses after restructuring. There’s also a unique storyline: Elk faced his former team BLG for the first time since leaving, and Viper made his LPL return after 1231 days, going up against his old teammate Jiejie. The bonds were fully on display! Ultimately, the winner was Viper, who came back to the LPL still as a formidable force. After three years away, he remains the ultimate carry! Perhaps he is BLG’s last missing piece, and now the Galaxy Battleship is truly complete!

In this match, BLG completed a reverse sweep from 1-0 down. Elk’s performance in the first game was outstanding, likely due to his familiarity with his former teammates. Despite being targeted multiple times, he stayed calm and executed flawlessly. From many angles, he proved he can carry a team, though now they fight for different sides! In games two and three, Viper fully took control of the team. Especially in the second game with Aphelios, it brought back memories of his S11 form—whenever he gets a big carry like that, victory is almost guaranteed! In the third game, his Caitlyn play was top-tier both in laning and teamfight positioning. It’s also encouraging to see his synergy with On; even though it’s their LPL debut together, their coordination is already seamless!

Part of this is thanks to Viper’s strong Chinese skills, which allow him to communicate effortlessly with the team in voice chat. His Chinese is even joked to be top-tier (just kidding, especially considering Zuo Shou’s unique Mandarin accent)! Although the first match against WBG was just a warm-up, more challenges await BLG. So far, their performance looks solid! This new lineup secured their first win of the season, and this match marked Viper’s return to the LPL stage after 1231 days. The last time was at the 2022 Worlds qualifiers with EDG. He has proven that after three years, he’s still the husband who can carry the team wildly on the battlefield!
