LPL All-Chinese team suffers 2 consecutive losses at start! Support performs "water extinguishes fire" move, leaving audience and commentators stunned.

In the second stage of LPL group matches, the first week schedule is nearing its end. On the last match day, BLG played their second game against WE, the bottom-ranked team in the Summit group. BLG went all out aggressively, with Bin dominating his lane solo, and other lanes also outperforming their counterparts. Finally, BLG took a 2:0 win, smoothly beating WE for a double victory—the capability difference between these squads is really not comparable.

Another match on the same day was WBG versus NIP. If not already knowing the outcome, probably no one would believe that Weibo actually lost to NIP. The paper strength of these two teams is completely not on the same tier. Weibo, in the previous stage, crushed TES and AL to reach the top three, nearly making it to the Pioneer tournament. NIP, in the Resilience group, although ranked top two, still sits at the same table as WE.

With such a large gap in theoretical strength, and after Weibo won the first game, they still got reverse-swept 2-3—it’s just unbelievable. After Hang joined, the bot lane hasn’t improved much; ELK even suffered a lane kill by Assam. The only player with stable performance across the team is mid-lane Xiaohu, but when he has lane advantage, he tends to help bot lane, resulting in the ADC not getting boosted while his own mid lane also gets messed up from roaming.

Top-lane Zika also performed poorly, Jiejie couldn’t find any rhythm; relying solely on Xiaohu alone, it’s very hard to reverse the disadvantages of top and bot lanes. Consequently, Weibo got upset by a weaker team. Since everyone’s form was poor, losing seems not attributable to any single person, but Hang’s performance in this BO3 was truly astonishing. Anyone who watched the match honestly couldn’t resist wanting to criticize him a bit.

Although Weibo won the first game, Hang’s “water extinguishes fire” unbelievable move really dumbfounded viewers and commentators. Around 14 minutes into the match, NIP opted for a lane swap strategy. The Rambo, to avoid being tower-dived, decisively used ultimate to clear minions. Then Hang god attempted to use Nami’s ultimate to extinguish Rambo’s fire—this play was truly insane, even pulling off “water extinguishes fire”—is this a professional player?

Various secondary stream commentators were baffled seeing this play. Chenyu guesting on Zitai’s stream joked: decades in the industry and never seen such a scene. K-God, Zitai, etc., tried to cover it up with “water extinguishes fire” reasoning, but still couldn’t justify it. If intending to clear minions, that could be a reason, but ELK’s big missile + Q had already cleared all except one siege minion—the remaining excuse could only be a slip of the hand.

After creating elemental reaction in the first game, Hang remained abstract in the second. His Seraphine ultimate seemed tied to Flash—every time he ulted, it was an R-Flash. But the funny thing is, in several instances not flashing would have made the ult effect better. Take the 23-minute dragon fight: NIP’s double carries and jungler were aligned, the Shaco frozen by Ashe’s arrow—if he cast normally, he could directly hit three.

But Hang insisted on doing a cool move, ending up only hitting Shaco alone. The 28-minute play was even more unbelievable: Shaco used Zhonya’s, Hang ulted to catch the rise, but missed. Most hilarious, he feared range insufficient and still R-Flashed toward it. Many astonishing supports seen, but to this degree—honestly not many. Weibo’s support swap seems like reverse strengthening; currently, it looks worse than Erha.

Conclusion:

After watching this match, one must admit, brother is really strong. The supports who partnered with him, each more unbelievable than the last—he actually managed to achieve results with these guys, truly remarkable. ELK also got lucky, leaving Erha and getting Hang. Feels like this stage, Weibo Xia achieving results might be tough.

So how do you think Hang performed?
