The LPL's Red Miracle Strikes Again: BLG Becomes the Unlucky Ones, WE Sweeps AL and Advances, One Step Away from MSI

Hello to all LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is the Game Hub.

The LPL recently held the second match of the playoff winners' bracket, featuring WE versus AL. The eighth-seeded WE once again pulled off an upset, sweeping through the league like a red storm and defeating AL 3-0 to advance to the winners' bracket final.

This means that only one more BO5 win separates WE from qualifying for the MSI Mid-Season Invitational.

AL's Twisted Fate Strategy Fails, WE Takes the BO5

Let's briefly recap the third game between WE and AL. Trailing 0-2, AL pulled out a surprise composition: a top-lane Twisted Fate paired with a mid-lane Galio, forming a global rotation system—a creative setup. In response, WE opted for their signature mid-jungle-support roaming lineup, leaving the bottom lane with Sivir on her own.

In the early stages, AL attempted a bot-lane tower dive, but Cube protected the team with a Teleport. Monki then counter-ganked the top lane, catching the Twisted Fate without Flash and securing a kill with his teammates.

WE also won the subsequent mid-jungle skirmish. AL tried to initiate a mid-jungle engage combined with Twisted Fate's ultimate, but the ultimate was interrupted, and WE counterattacked to claim one kill.

Despite falling behind, AL briefly seized an opportunity in the bot-lane team fight, scoring a 0-for-3 exchange and regaining control.

However, AL's Twisted Fate strategy didn't pay off as intended. Ideally, Twisted Fate would split-push endlessly while Galio flew to side lanes, but this never materialized. Instead, AL struggled in team fights. At 12 minutes, WE surrounded Annie in a counter-engage, killing two with coordinated plays. At the 20-minute mark, a crucial team fight resulted in a 1-for-4 trade, allowing WE to secure the Baron Nashor easily.

AL's mid-game decision-making was chaotic, and they couldn't match WE in team fights, eventually losing the game to a decisive WE team fight.

The Red Storm Arrives: WE's Team Fights Are Nearly Unstoppable

Looking at the performance across all three games, WE demonstrated superior team fight capabilities, with clear advantages in team decision-making and execution of fight details. Additionally, Monki's individual skill continued to dominate his counterpart, successfully suppressing Tarzan. WE's aggressive onslaught also disrupted AL's macro play.

Just like in their previous match against BLG, WE's highly aggressive playstyle put immense pressure on their opponents, causing both BLG and AL to make numerous mistakes under pressure.

Initially, WE's roster was considered inferior, but in the current patch, they managed to hold their own in laning phases and even create advantages. Once the mid-game and team fights began, WE leveraged superior fight strategies to secure victories—this is the main reason they've been able to topple strong opponents consecutively.

In LPL history, there have been few teams that, with such a low budget and ranking, could consistently pull off upsets and defeat stronger teams from below. It's worth noting that WE struggled significantly during the regular season, failing to find their winning formula even in the final stages.

Even the top-ranked teams didn't anticipate that this roster could suddenly unleash such astonishing power.

BLG Becomes the Unlucky Ones: LPL's Entertainment Value at Its Peak

After WE's advancement, BLG's playoff choices have once again sparked widespread discussion. Having secured the top seed, they proactively picked the strongest opponent, ultimately becoming the biggest unlucky team. Now they find themselves in an extremely passive position, as WE has consecutively defeated strong adversaries, sending teams like AL and JDG to the losers' bracket.

BLG's margin for error has been minimized. Having missed the direct qualification opportunity, they now have to fight their way back through a series of tough matches.

It all started with the massive upsets from the Nirvana group teams. Three Nirvana group teams advanced to the top eight, but only WE held onto its spot in the Summit group. Since BLG wasn't familiar with the Nirvana group teams, they chose WE—and that backfired.

In my opinion, this year's LPL playoffs are among the most exciting in history. The "Knight's Path" stage was already thrilling enough, and then WE single-handedly turned the LPL upside down, completely rewriting the league's landscape.

Now the pressure shifts to TES. Can they defeat this formidable WE, or will WE continue their dark-horse run and directly qualify for MSI, bringing their youthful storm to the international stage? We'll have to wait and see, and hopefully, more iconic moments and exciting matches await in the upcoming games.
