VCT: Two Comebacks from Behind, EDG and XLG Meet in Winners' Semifinals

On the second day of the first round of the VALORANT London Masters knockout stage, two teams from the CN League, EDG and XLG, both came from a map down to win 2-1.

In the first map, EDG tried a new lineup but made too many mistakes. In a post-match interview, Smoggy admitted that the loss in the first map was due to aim duels and timing, not the lineup.

On the second map, EDG started to pick up momentum. Although FUT fought back and the game went into overtime, Smoggy and QiuShen stepped up in the extra rounds.

On the third map, EDG took off completely, showing their superiority. On their strong map, Fracture, EDG demonstrated to FUT what championship-level strength looks like in 2024!

For this match, the EDG players all said they had a great time playing!

XLG's three-sentinel strategy on Lotus was cracked by G2, and they unfortunately lost the first map.

On the second map, WsLeo and happywei stepped up. WsLeo even got an ACE, and happywei's aim was extremely solid. In the second half, XLG went on a five-round streak to win.

On the third map, happywei and Lysoar shone. Although babybay had a decent performance, XLG was better overall, ultimately winning the map and advancing to the winners' semifinals, setting a new record for the team's best result.

After this match, G2 probably won't be laughing about the draw anymore!
