VALORANT Masters London elimination bracket upper bracket semifinal, EDG won 2-1 against XLG, securing their spot in the upper bracket final.

Map 1: Lotus.

Defending XLG: Heimeng, Sage, Gangsuo, Omen, Cypher.

Attacking EDG: Omen, Jett, Vyse, Skye, Raze.

XLG secured the opening pistol round, but EDG quickly eco-ed them. In the third round, Jieni7 got a quad kill on A long.

EDG went on a six-round win streak, while XLG kept saving their guns, leading to a poor economy. In round eight, "Wei Ge went wild; he wasn't playing around," as EDG repeatedly peeked to gather info at C, and Wei Ge killed four in a row to secure the second point.

In round nine, EDG faced a 3v5 disadvantage, but Jieni7 (the college student) got four kills, and nobody finished the clutch by eliminating NoMan.

In the first half, EDG gained an eight-round lead, but XLG later found opportunities and, led by Wei Ge, managed to secure four rounds by halftime.

In the second half, XLG won four consecutive rounds to tie the score, with their strategy and game reading perfectly executed.

In round 17, both teams contested C site; EDG used smokes on the ramp to hold and eliminate XLG, earning their first point of the second half.

EDG achieved three consecutive wins, but they could not reach match point as XLG fought back to take two rounds.

XLG won the pistol round to take an early lead. EDG then won their bonus round but remained behind on the scoreboard.

In round 7, both teams fought fiercely at A site. In the 1v1 clutch, Jieni7 eliminated WsLeo to win the round.

In round 8, Jieni7 stepped up again, getting a triple kill at A site to lead his team to another round win.

EDG went on a five-round win streak. At halftime, EDG had seven rounds, while XLG had five.

In the second half, XLG once again won the pistol round. In round 15, Lysoar made a teleport mistake and was caught, allowing EDG to rush A and win easily.

In round 16, EDG fast-rushed A site, but XLG retook gradually, clearing the site step by step. Finally, Rarga eliminated CHICHOO and defused the spike to win.

XLG went on a four-round win streak and maintained the lead in the second half. In round 21, CHICHOO made a crucial 1v2 clutch to turn the tide. At the critical moment, the "Ball God" stepped up.

In round 22, EDG lost a 3v2 situation, failing to defend the spike. XLG secured match point and won Map 2 to tie the series.
