LPL fails to win the MSI title! BLG underperforms in the decisive match, Bin becomes the biggest weak point, losing 2-3 to HLE

Greetings to all LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is the global gaming hub.

The final of the MSI Mid-Season Championship went to a decisive game, where BLG fell into a disadvantage in the last match's draft, with low lineup flexibility and failing to snowball in the early game, allowing HLE to drag the game into their power spike.

Despite being at a huge disadvantage, BLG once mounted a counterattack in team fights, but ultimately lost the championship to the opponent.

BLG strikes first, HLE wins the dragon team fight

In the final game's draft phase, BLG locked in a dual-targeting mid-jungle combo, picked Aatrox in the third slot, and then brought out Miss Fortune and Neeko in the bot lane, forming a lineup with some offensive pressure but not great in the laning phase. HLE's composition had higher flexibility, and the key was whether Pantheon could secure an early jungle advantage.

At the start, Pantheon invaded the jungle, Knight forcedly helped Xun defend. In the bot lane, both sides clashed in the tri-bush, HLE burned some summoner spells. BLG's mid and bot lanes fell behind in laning, teammates helped to relieve pressure, and HLE attempted a tower dive but failed.

Xun initiated the tempo by taking the dragon successfully, then Knight pretended to recall and coordinated with Xun for a bot lane engage, securing a 0-for-2 trade.

After securing kills, BLG gave up the Voidgrubs, both teams swapped their bot lanes to the top. Pantheon used his ultimate to initiate and killed On. After that, they continued farming. BLG's bot lane was behind in CS, but the top lane had a significant lead in farm.

At the 12-minute second dragon team fight, BLG moved first to start the objective. HLE came to defend, and Pantheon directly engaged on On, leaving him low. In the ensuing fight, Vi was polymorphed, Miss Fortune's ultimate didn't have much impact, and BLG was kited by the opponent. HLE achieved a 1-for-3 trade and took the dragon.

BLG fails to turn the tide, HLE wins the MSI championship

At 15 minutes, Bin's Aatrox used a teleport flank to initiate, combined with Neeko's ultimate that hit Zeka and secured the first kill. Subsequently, HLE's reinforcements arrived but couldn't reverse the fight, and BLG responded with a 1-for-3 trade.

After that, both sides continued farming. HLE later secured the dragon soul point. At 26 minutes, HLE grouped mid to push, and BLG directly engaged, focusing on Dr. Mundo but failed, as the opponent flashed away. HLE achieved a 2-for-3 trade and destroyed the mid tower, putting BLG under extreme lineup pressure.

At 28 minutes, Aatrox attempted a flank in the jungle but didn't engage on Lulu first, and the front-to-back coordination was poor. After a team fight collapse, they lost the Baron.

In the dragon soul team fight, HLE engaged first in the jungle but was pulled away by Rell. Neeko counter-engaged, and together with Bin's Aatrox, they slashed through to achieve a 2-for-4 counterattack, interrupting HLE's dragon soul pace. However, the lineup pressure was still immense, and the inability to deal with Dr. Mundo was BLG's biggest problem.

At 33 minutes, Xun made an extreme flank in the jungle, hitting Zeka with a skill and coordinating with teammates to burst him down. In the subsequent fight, even though Viper was killed, BLG's sustained combat ability was stronger, and they wiped out the opponent's team.

In the final Baron fight, BLG failed to find an engage opportunity. After the Baron was stolen, HLE killed three members and pushed the base to win.

Two main reasons for BLG losing the title: Bin's performance and the draft gap

In my opinion, compared to the first match against HLE, the biggest difference in this series is that BLG's draft advantage was gone. Meanwhile, Bin's form was very poor. These are the two core reasons for losing this series. After HLE readjusted and recharged, they successfully optimized their draft and won the championship.

As for Bin, he underperformed in the first two games. In the third game, his Jax finally exploded to help the team win, but the fourth and fifth games were problematic. It can be said that he only played well in one out of five games.

The draft in the fifth game was designed to set the stage for Bin. However, despite consecutive bans of top lane champions, Zeus picked Dr. Mundo, which BLG still couldn't handle. This draft was a huge failure.

Regarding the coaching staff, there were multiple draft mistakes in this series, often resulting in low lineup flexibility, making it difficult to play in the late game. In the fifth game, not only was the late game tough, but the mid and bot lanes were also at a disadvantage in the laning phase. It's a shame that Xun's god-level individual performance went to waste. Losing this championship is truly regrettable and frustrating. Both sides made some mistakes, but BLG clearly did not perform as expected. We can only say, keep working hard in future matches.
