The LOL Mid-Season Championship ended with HLE lifting the trophy. Zeka and Zeus from Hanwha Life are now the first Grand Slam winners under the new tournament system, having secured the LCK title, LCK Cup, Worlds, First Stand, and MSI. They have won every Riot-hosted competition available. Moreover, Zeus also earned FMVP honors at both MSI and Worlds, cementing his legacy as the greatest top laner in history.

Meanwhile, Hanwha's jungler Kanavi became the second player worldwide, after Ruler, to win two MSI titles in two different regions. In this BO5, Kanavi actually gave away many opportunities, but when it mattered most, he stepped up. Although everyone jokes about his tendency to go wild, he truly carries in advantageous games. After this series, the blame he received from his time at Top Esports last year should be cleared.

After BLG lost to HLE and missed out on the championship, the entire team gave interviews. As they sat down, the top, bot, and support trio had serious expressions. However, when the camera panned to the mid-jungle duo, they were chatting and laughing. It was clear they were laughing out of frustration and had already accepted the outcome. Among the five BLG players, the mid-jungle pair indeed tried their hardest. In any single game, Xun and Knight could say they had no regrets.

As for Bin, he probably realized he was the one at fault. During the interview, he was unsmiling, but the media's question was quite piercing: "You've faced Zeus seven times, losing only twice, but both losses were in finals. Do you think he performs exceptionally well in big matches?" Bin's response: "Both losses were 2:3, which is unfortunate, but winning and losing is normal in competitive sports. Since it's already happened, we just have to accept it."

In this BO5 final, Bin was completely dominated by Zeus. It's estimated that for the entire year, he won't dare claim to be the world's best top laner, because the true world's best top has already achieved a Grand Slam with a head-to-head FMVP. Unless Bin wins the World Championship, he simply can't compare. Being crushed in four consecutive games made both the audience and casters furious. Official commentator Miler immediately lashed out right after the match.

After the match, Miler posted congratulations to HLE for winning, but then he directly called out Bin in the comments: "An epic top lane gap. When will Bin understand that top lane is more than just laning?" This criticism shows that Miler was also furious, but his words were spot on. If Bin doesn't realize that League of Legends is a team game, he will never win a World Championship in his lifetime.

During the group interview, BLG's coach Danny responded to a move that everyone found puzzling: Why didn't the bot lane pick AP champions for Viper? Throughout the entire BO5, the bot lane only picked Mel in the fourth game. The earlier unconventional picks like Cassiopeia, Taliyah, and the "flashlight" (likely referring to a specific champion) were never used again. With the bot lane already at a disadvantage in AD champions, only trying AP once was indeed baffling.

However, Coach Danny stated: "Sometimes the top laner has to pick a good champion or play well for our unconventional picks to have room and effectiveness. But our top laner was targeted by the opponent in this BO5." Danny's response basically called out Bin indirectly. For the bot lane to pick AP, the top and jungle need to provide AD damage, but in this BO5, Bin's poor form prevented BLG from using AP champions.

Comparing the two top laners' performances on the stage, the words of Miler and Danny hit the nail on the head. No matter what champion Bin plays, his playstyle is very selfish, with no concept of "team" in his mind. In the first round against HLE, Bin didn't play like this. Could it be that in the finals, he suddenly wanted to prove himself? Otherwise, there is no explaining why he played that way.
So, what do you think of Danny's draft?
