"Guan Zeyuan and Miller publicly roast Bin," the "world's top laner" can fool his teammates, but don't take it seriously.

Foreword: The S16 season has officially begun, and most fans have been closely following the recent matches. This MSI event has left many supporters feeling quite upset. After the winners' bracket final, everyone thought the BLG team's championship was already secured, but they ran into serious problems in the crucial final. In particular, top laner Bin abandoned the cautious and defensive playstyle he showed in the winners' bracket final, determined to prove himself in solo lane mechanics against Zeus, but ended up making a huge mess. Recently, mockery and criticism of Bin have been growing, and even Guan Zeyuan and Miller have publicly spoken out. Some words are fine for fooling fans, but you shouldn't take them seriously yourself.

Most fans are quite familiar with the BLG team. As a top-tier team in the LPL region, their overall performance over the years has been outstanding, and they participate in world-class events every year. This season, BLG underwent a roster reshuffle, bringing back jungler Xun, which rapidly boosted their overall results. In the first split, they defeated several top teams in the Global Premier Event and won a world championship. Their performance in the MSI event of the second split was also decent, but they stumbled in the final match, losing to the HLE team.

There has been a lot of discussion about top laner Bin recently. His problems were particularly severe in this tournament, especially in the final, where he showed no discipline at all—purely individual heroism without results. In a recent video, Guan Zeyuan and Miller openly criticized Bin.

Guan Zeyuan: "Bro, you can fool your teammates, but don't fool yourself. You can be cocky, you can like UFC, you can express yourself—that's all fine. But you can't genuinely believe you're the best top laner in the world without any achievements to back it up. I can accept you saying it—no problem. Pro players are allowed to have ambition and speak their minds. But behind those words, you actually have to deliver. If you keep saying it without doing it, people will just see it as a joke. You have to achieve it; if you don't, you become the joke."

Miller: "But I think today, bro's mindset was really off. I mean, a team wins, and Zeus also said in an interview that top laners don't have that much impact on the game. You should just try to maximize your role within the limited scope. But why are you always thinking about solo killing the opponent? You end up not even getting a decent result—you just get a 'fifth-place champion'?"

Zeyuan: "I think Brother Bin is still trying too hard to break through, too eager to make a breakthrough."

Miller: "You have to give credit to Zeus on this point. Because I play top lane, I know how hard it is to play Mundo against Aatrox. Ask any Mundo one-trick, and they'll tell you they'd rather ban it in solo queue."

Former staff member and player Sun Yalong (Xiaoxiao) has a different opinion. He believes Bin has no issues; losing to Zeus in the top lane is like losing to Faker in the mid lane. To be honest, fans can accept if Bin is outplayed mechanically, but they can't accept such an ugly loss—completely lacking team discipline, just charging forward alone. Even T1's legendary support Wolf pointed out Bin's mechanical issues, especially in the game with K'Sante and Swain. If he had played normally, BLG would have already won 3-1 and claimed the victory.

Zaijian believes

In the end, it all comes down to Bin being too eager to prove his mechanics. If he had played the final like the previous match—playing safe, building up, and sincerely acting as a tank for the team—maybe BLG would already be crowned champions and the center of global attention. Hopefully, he learns from this in the upcoming EWC tournament. As Guan Zeyuan said, fooling fans is fine, but you must never fool yourself.
